Making your way in the world today takes everything you've got.
Taking a break from all your worries, sure would help a lot.

Wouldn't you like to get away?

Sometimes you want to go

Where everybody knows your name,
and they're always glad you came.
You wanna be where you can see,
our troubles are all the same
You wanna be where everybody knows
Your name.

You wanna go where people know,
people are all the same,
You wanna go where everybody knows

Ok so if you watched any tv in the 80's or 90's you are very familiar with this tune. Cheers! Thats right. Well I sent it to a good friend and then I meditated on the words for a bit and felt to write and get something off my chest, our of my head or however you want to classify it.

Sometimes we feel that we are the only ones facing our particular situation...and truth is we are not...Sometimes we feel alone in a crowded room but obvisouldy we are not...Sometimes we feel used, forgotten, mistreated, overlooked, ignored. But Truth is if we have Christ as the center we will realize that those things doin't line up to his word...He said he would never abandon us. He would never forsake us. We choose to meditate on things, just like me meditating on this songs lyrics. I thought to myself isn't that why we congregate in certain places...some of us go to church- where hopfully everyone knows our name, were we know that we will connect and know that we don't face things alone. Some of us it might be band nights, bars, clubs, music stores, our favorite coffee shop or our favorite venue...what draws us to keep going back is that sense of acceptance. That there is a place where we are known and loved for who we are.

So this is wrote to the one who feels like they are the only one going through something right now...you are not alone.

It is for the one that feels forgotten...He knows your name

For the one that feels the fool or the failure...Get back up, you have more fight left and you never fight alone if you have Christ as the center. He fights for you!

For the one that feels unlovable due to the worlds standards on when and where and how you should live your life...God loves you...He has since the beginning of time...he has the perfect college, career, mate, house, car....and all the other things that we seem to worry about all planned out. He declares that he knows the plans....we just need to go to the one that knew our name since the womb!!!

Acceptance is important to every living being....and all you need to know is that He accepts you just the way you are and there are a whole lot of others "cheering" you on.

If you know Christ, then I am so excited...because we are friends forever!!!

I was the person overlooked, ignored and forgotten in my church community. My buddy, Fr. Bob Wirth (pictured in my avitar) was the kind of person who could see the overlooked, ignored and forgotten and would grab them and bring them into the community! THAT was his very special gift!

mrmgrady that is awesome and I pray that I too have opportunities like Fr. Bob. To see the overlooked, ignored and forgotten in my church community and city.

We are friends forever candsw and I am so glad! I grew up Catholic but didnt really come to know the Lord until I was 32. He changed my life radically and I found a peace and a joy that I was missing ....
I do not know how....or understand how those who do not Know our God get thru the day to day stuff....let alone the big things!
Thanks for the post....great blog!

Hey lil sis!

Today is a good day, I got to talk to you! To remember what's important is what it's all about. Surrounding yourself with others that see the bigger picture, and bring a positive force in your life is something we all need to focus on. He is always there, and we all need to remember that we can lean on Him when a challenge presents itself. Life is the biggest challenge of all, just want to let you know I'm so glad He sent me a lil sis to give me a word from time to time.

Thanks girl, I love you!

Peace, Jana

Jana (big sis)

I know that the Lord allowed our paths to cross for a reason. [As] iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens the wits of another. Proverbs 27:17

I love you like a sister!

Have a great weekend.

cast your desires, wants and cares on Him, for He wants you to have the desires of your heart, but we must be ready to have them. He knows us and knows our limitations. the phrase be careful what you wish for, well God will never give us more than we can handle of anything. so talk to Him daily, read and study His word, learn to love Him for Who He is, the Almighty Lord God of us all.

Those were very inspirational thoughts. Thanks for sharing them. I'm sure there are many who will read this and it will inspire them to put their lives in Gods hands.

Today, we celebrate Palm Sunday (also known as Passion Sunday). My pastor preached on this. He said that recounted the Triumphant Entry into Jeruselem and the events after the Last Supper and into the Garden of Gethsemane, to the Crucifixion. In the Entry to Jeruselem, the crouds were chanting, "Hosanna" at the Trial before Pilate, the crouds were chanting, "Crucify, him!" He posed this question: "Who do you want to chant to you, the people or your Heaveny Father?" I realised then, that I wish not to be spotlighted for what I do, but I wish to only serve my God and all of my God's creatures, great and small! (BTW, a dog came to the door of my church two Sundays ago. I got him a bowl of water because he looked thirsty).

Amen!
