I can't believe you said frost. I have 186 flats and miscellaneous plants I’m going to pick-up today. Plus I have to pick up bushes to replace the ones that got fried from the late frost from last year. Now I have to find a place to store them at the shop for a few days.

Oct.14 2005 my brother was killed. He was an organ donor. Four people got a second chance of life and two individuals got the gift of sight. Fifty others will benefit late down the road.

Losing my brother was hard but knowing that he gave a second chance of life to others and part of him is still here helps.

My question to you is, are you an organ donor? If not why not?

TOLEDO (AP) -- A head-on collision between a drunk pickup truck driver going the wrong way on an interstate and a minivan killed five people in the minivan, including two children from Michigan, officials say.

The accident occurred late Sunday night when the minivan, traveling in the southbound lanes on Interstate 280 near the I-75 interchange, collided with the truck, going north in the southbound lanes, assistant fire chief Luis Santiago said.

Officials at Toledo Municipal Court say the truck driver's blood alcohol count came back as .254, more than three times the legal limit in the state of Ohio, which is .08.

The driver of the pickup, Michael Gagnon, 24, was taken to a hospital, but his injuries did not appear to be as serious, Santiago said.

Gagnon faces five counts of aggravated vehicular homicide.

Bits of gift wrap and toys were strewn about the highway, suggesting the minivan was carrying a family heading home from the holidays, Santiago said.

"It was among the worst I've seen," he said of the crash scene.

Bethany Griffin, 36, Jordan Griffin, 10, and Vadie Griffin, 2 months, all of Parkville, Md., were killed in the crash along with Lacie Burkeman, 7, and Haley Burkeman, 10, according to the Lucas County Coroner's office.

Danny Griffin and two other children from the minivan were taken to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, Santiago said.

Griffin, Jr., 36, of Parkville, Md., was listed in serious condition; Sidney Griffin, 8, also of Parkville, was in critical condition; and Beu Burkeman, 8, was being evaluated and no condition is available, a hospital spokeswoman said.

The Burkeman children are those of Bethany Griffin from a previous marriage. The Griffin children are those of Danny Griffin from a previous marriage. The baby was the daughter of both Bethany and Danny Griffin. Police say the Griffins lived with all of the children in Maryland.

Around 11 p.m. Sunday, officers received a call from employees at a Taco Bell that a man who had stopped for food was driving drunk. By the time police arrived, Gagnon had left the restaurant in a Ford F-350 and got on Interstate 280 driving the wrong way in the southbound lane. Moments later, police say the truck crashed into a Chevy Astro van carrying eight people near the Manhattan overpass. The van was driven by Danny Griffin, Jr., 36.

The two vehicles struck nearly head-on. Both vehicles had tried to swerve out of the way of the other. The heavier Ford truck sheared off the passenger-side doors of the van. Several passengers on the passenger side were ejected from the van.

Officers later found out Gagnon had been drinking at the Rodeo Bar and Grill on Navarre Ave. When he left there, he stopped at the aforementioned Taco Bell, which prompted people to call the Oregon police. By the time the police arrived -- just 2 minutes and 12 seconds later --Gagnon was gone.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.

My best friend called me at 12:30am drunk at a party. She says she thinks she has a drinking problem and asks me if I thought she did. Based on that she tells me she drinks every day when she comes home. I do know that she drinks a lot when we go out. Did ask if she know why she drank? To feel numb. Says she’s depressed. Her mom is an alcoholic and brother is a recovering alcoholic. Told her we needed to sit down and figure out if she needs to go to AA or into rehab. Know one really knows what is best for another person ,but if anyone can help me I greatly appreciate it.

I have a few questions. Was the van driver the teacher of the class? If not where was the teacher? Why hasn’t she been charged? The teacher should of had a clip board will all the names on it and instead of doing a head count a face to name should of been done. After everyone got off the van, the driver should of looked thru all the windows to make sure there was no one left on it. Why wasn’t a buddy system in place? I know there are a lot of whys but, I worked at daycare and I also was a van driver. A child left in a daycare van, bus, or a car is uncalled for.

The trial of the man take killed my brother is coming up and my parents are getting a little worried now. They are now thinking that the Jury will give him probation. I say no the Jury won’t. What would you do? Here are the facts. My brother was a passenger in the car. The driver 2hrs after the crash BAC was .088. Drugs were found in his system. He was speed on a winding road. At the point of impact it is estimated that the car was going 63mph. It is marked for 35mph. He lied and said he wasn’t the driver. Someone else was, and that they ran from the scene. There is more but this is all I reveal.

I have question for all of you. With another high profile case of drinking and driving have you changed the way you see drinking and driving? Is it an eye opener? Do you now find an alternative to drinking and driving such as a designated driver or a cab? Or do you look at it as it won’t happen to me. If so what would need to happen to change your opinion?

Thank you

I remember going to a museum 20ish yrs ago. There were three houses next to each others. The first house was filled with science experiments you could do. The one I remember is that you pedal the bike and you would see your reflection. The second house had a mummy. I think it was in the wall of the staircase. You could push a button and it would show an x-ray of the insides. There were pictures of walking fish and the history of man. The third house had a huge train display. This is the only house that I don’t remember going upstairs. The other two were two or a three-story house. I know they were right next to each other cause we walk to each one. The outside had two or three dinosaurs. Riding in the car I remember seeing a red and white striped London guard house on the way there. I ask my dad about it and he doesn’t remember and my sister is clueless. My dad had us every other weekend so it wouldn’t be that far from St. Louis. This has been driving me crazy for yrs. Does this sound familiar with anyone or am I just losing my mind?

I’m a mom to, two very energetic boys. I work part-time as a horticulturist at a golf course. I love the fact that I get to take the boys with me. I’m involved with running the women’s ministry and a Sunday school program for toddles at my church. If I get time to myself, I like to do sukudo puzzles. I enjoy doing many different craft project even if I never finish them. I send my sleepless nights working on my brother’s memorial pg. He was killed by a drunk driver in Oct. 05.
