The other day i said, America would take care of her own, build better trucks and cars, and fight for the rights of all americans. Well, two days latter my husband got news that his company, Intergram, which makes the seats for Chrysler, will be closing. Now wouldn't you think this would dampen my patriot spirit? Well it doesn't !

I believe we are smarter than that. I believe in our young people that are the next generation of inventors. The next congress-man or congress-woman, Senators, or even President of these united states of America. They are husbands and wives, blue collar, white collar, entrepreneurs, poets, dreamers, and lovers of God, family and country.

We can and will do better than this. We are greater than the world at large believes. I am told that we live in a global world. Make no mistake about it, america is still the greatest force of good in the earth other than God. We will figure this all out. The one thing i believe will hurt us the most is losing our faith in God and travelling down the same old road of bigger goverment and big oil companies. We must find another way to fuel our world. If we don't, then every time someone doesn't like what we do or say, they will just pull the plug and our economy will be dashed to pieces over and over again! We must become completely free of dependence on foreign oil. As a matter of fact we need to be free of all dependence outside of this country. It isn't wrong to trade with others, but it is wrong for goverment to weaken its own people. To dash their hopes and dreams for a better future. How will we keep america strong if she is hopeless and broke?

Come on now, we are smarter than that. Aren't we????

I enjoy your attitude, WAY TO GO. I hope no one ever crushes the spirit you have going for you.

I would like to add something. In some other blogs it was stated the USA has 300 year supply of oil and it would take 10 years to start producing more oil here if we started to drill today. Until the young (or older) people come up with new fuel alternatives I say "shut up and drill" and while we are waiting for the ten years to come around tap into the 300 year supply. To h*ll with foreign oil.

Like it or not the world economy will run on oil for the next 1 0r 2 hundred years. American oil companies produce and distill oil as cheaply as the government will let them.
Oil companies pay top wages and hire the best people. They build state of the art clean refineries where they can. (in foreign countries) The Environmentalist religion and global warming cult within the Democratic Party block American oil from expanding their business in the US. Drilling companies say they can locate a drill site on a lease and pump oil in 6 months in some cases.
Drilling and recovery is the easy part. Getting government permits and environmental studies take years to accomplish.

bellagirl1 - I like your attitude. In 1985 I lost my job in the mining industry. I had no idea what I wanted to do but I didn't want to stay at the mines with the ups and downs of that industry. I seeked the business I am in now and I have never looked back. It is possible to move on, be happy and earn more. All reasons to be patient and pray for direction.

USA the 'greatest country' the world has ever seen will always rise to any situation...innovate and overcome any challenge...

You got that right Legolas--I have been trying for years to run an internal combustion engine on a water mixture. It can be done just a matter of time.
