I am looking for a good place to take my mom and wife to brunch on Sunday.  My first choice was the Botanical Gardens, but they are sold out.  So help me out here.  I want to find a place in which we can feel comfortable but special -- somewhere unique.  I live in Florissant, but don't mind traveling into the city for this.  I don't want to go any where too formal, but somewhere that is a bit dressy (smart casual?).

Any ideas?

Hi bambino.. Mother's Day is a terrible day to dine out.. Everyone and their Mother are out there.. :) Long waits..

It's a nice gesture though... maybe you could all go out on Saturday instead. I love Cunetto's on the Hill, but it's busy EVERY Saturday. You have to get in line early outside the place. To me, it's worth it. I do need to try another place there..

Enjoy, I hope it works out for you.

Top of the Riverfront at the Millenium Hotel downtown has a fantastic brunch every Sunday. You can call to see if they are booked up or not, usually not though.

Wilikers in St Charles is good. Plus you don't have to get real dressed up. Their in Country Club Plaza.

You could try Bevo Mill -- I was thinking of it -- hope it isn't filled up either. Has good brunches ordinarily.

If you want to fly....there is a place that is called Gaston's Resort on the White River at the Missouri and Arkansas line...the grass air strip is their driveway as the place was originally designed for airplane get a ways. It is also on the river and casual.

I am a 44 year old life long resident of North County who recently pulled up his stakes and moved into the city (Holly Hills). I really like it so far and enjoy being close to all the action. I have four children (three of whom are teenagers!). I enjoy following the weather as well as astronomy and stargazing. I also play board games (mostly old-style war games or new style euro games), chess, and am working toward my private pilot's license. I am also an avid reader and writer.
