Tonight after watching the news and hearing Martin Kilcoyne talk about the blues being one goal away from tacos I figured I would check it out to see if the 35cent tacos were back at taco bell. Well after looking at the blues site I figured out that it isn't Taco Bell tacos and that what they are doing isn't worth a hoot unless you live downtown or work downtown. Don't get me wrong I know they are trying to do something for the fans to bring the old taco chanting back, but nothing will ever be the same as pulling up to the drive thru the day after the blues scored 5 goals and getting 10 tacos for a little under $4. Not the healthiest lunch, but a cheap one! The break down of the new one is that if you went to the game the night before and the blues scored 5 goals then you can take your ticket stub and go to Scottrade center and get 1 free taco and then only pay 99cents for each one after. Now unless you work or live down there who is honestly going to burn the gas to get down there for 1 free taco?

The NFL season is in full swing now and I have once again become 2nd to the t.v. on Sundays. I like to watch football and even have a fantasy team, but why is it that when the NFL is on men get in their own little zone, and tend to tune everything else out. Between the meaningless clicks of the remote to the constant running over to the computer I feel like I am watching a 3 ring circus. Watching him get a workout with all of the running back and fourth is more entertaining than watching the game itself. So for all of you football widows out there this blogs for you! Heres your chance to moan groan gripe whatever you want about your hubby and his wonderful football watching antics!

and for all of the men this isn't meant to put you down. I just find it rather entertaining and heck some of you may have wives that are way into football so feel free to post away if you do.

With all of the negative talk about Josh Hancock and his death. I felt that someone needed to post a blog about all of the good things he did. We have read and heard of many people saying what a kind person he was, but there has been very little said of his accomplishments as a baseball player. Here are a few things that I found. Please feel free to add anything you may have.

He was a member of the 2006 World Series champion team, in 2006 he led all Cardinals relievers with 77 innings pitched. He helped lead the Auburn University Tigers to the College World Series in 1997. He was also named Gatorade Player of the Year in high school.

Lets all please remember him for who he was and what he did.

I went to the baseball game last night and I found the people around me more entertaining than watching the game. Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the game, but there are some crazy people at the stadium. I watched one lady freak out when she got on the escalator. I guess people have a fear of those. It started to rain very lightly and people scattered like it was a coming down in sheets. By the 5th inning I was watching 2 little boys in front of me spit sunflower and peanut shells down on the people in the lower level. I started to leave early because I had kids with a babysitter and needed to get home to them.  As I started to get up to leave Pujols hit a foul ball and it came up in our section. Some man went to catch it and in the process he flipped over a rail that divides the stairs and tumbled down the stairs. He got up and went back to his chair and the medical people came to help him. Well I figured that was a good time to leave so I got up and started to leave and the same man that fell was getting helped up the stairs to go get medical attention. As he was walking up the stairs he passed out and they had to put him on a stretcher. It was an interesting time at the ball game and I never realized so many things happened other than the game.

My name is Katie and I have 3 amazing kids who keep me very busy! I enjoy going to the Lake of the Ozarks, swimming, taking my kids to the park and whatever else I can find for us to do, going to Cardinals and Blues games, I love to be outside during the summer, but during the winter you will find me hiding inside somewhere. The cold and I don't get along. In whatever free time I can find I like to hang out with my friends, go shopping and I love to go dancing.
