What an interesting concept Nintendo has with this new Wii Fit! I personally can't wait for it to come out and have already pre-ordered one. Not that this is going to completely help everyone, but I think it is worth a shot. When I get it I will keep everyone updated on how I am doing with it and if I have actually lost any weight. Here is a link to the article I was emailed and there is also a video you click on in the article!

A friend and I were talking one night over dinner and we started talking about wedding rings and what the point of having them or being married was if you don't ever wear the ring. Her hubby has a job in which his hands get very dirty so he has two rings that he wears. One for work and another for evenings out. A girlfriend of ours has a very nice ring and for some reason she never has it on regardless of if her husband is with her or not. We both have asked her why she doesn't wear her ring, but she never really gives us a straight answer. I know that a ring isn't all there is to a marriage, but to me it is a symbol that hey I am taken and I am not out there looking nor do I really want anyone out there looking at me. Is there a reason for people not wearing their rings other than it not fitting anymore or do we just notice odd things???

It is time for the annual St. Louis Mardi Gras parade. We go almost every year and always have a good time. The first time I went to it I really didn't care to go and ended up having a great time. It is now one of the events in St. Louis that I don't plan on missing for a long time. I was wanting to know who all from here is going and thinking that we can try to meet up. I know how hard it is to meet people down there because there are so many people, but maybe if we chat about it now we can all plan something out. Leave me a comment in here and we can try to get something together. If you have never been you can go to: http://mardigrasinc.com/ and get more information. Hope to see  you there!

Hugs

I just wanted to stop in and say hello to everyone and yes I am still here. I didn't fall off the face of the earth or win the lottery and take off to the beach. I went back to work! While it is a challenge balancing out home and working it is exciting. I am finally starting to get used to all of it! I hope that all of you are well and staying warm in this cold weather. Get out and do something fun this weekend it is supposed to be warm!!

Hugs

Here is a fantastic website for you to go to if you are looking for something to do with your friends, family, or even by yourself. The website is:

artszipper.com

This site has events and classes listed on it with everything from theater, visual arts, to music. This site is produced by the Regional Arts Commission, which is the largest funder of the arts in the St. Louis area. It is sponsored by your very own Fox2! There are even reviews on some of the shows on the site. If you like arts and entertainment this site is for you. I love it and have found a lot of events I want to go to on it.

Wednesday night I went out to dinner with my grandma at the Boathouse and then after that we went to the Muny to see Les Miserables. It was a bit hot out but I had a wonderful time with her. My grandma who I am very lucky to still have around, has been through quite a bit in her life. As we were sitting and watching the show and I was listening to others moan and groan about how hot it was and there sat a 68 year old woman who has been through a double lung transplant among other things enjoying every minute of what was presented to her. She would lean over to me at almost every song and say Oh this is my favorite song. She was tapping her feet and humming to the tunes and at first I was a little embaressed by what she was doing, but then I thought to myself... I don't know how much longer she will be here with us and this is what she does when she goes to any show.. just let her enjoy it. By the end of the night I was tapping my feet right along with her. In this short time I learned from her without her knowing I was, that if you live life to the fullest and enjoy it while you still can you will die a happy person. I hope that when I am her age I have grandkids that I can take to the muny and tap my feet and lean over and whisper this is my favorite song. Since this was the last show at the Muny for the season after the show they sang Auld Lang Syne. I was trying to get out of the theater so I could beat traffic, but she wanted to stand there and sing with them. When we got done singing and got into the car she said that she just wanted to sing that in case she wasn't able to make it back next season. This brought a little tear to my eye, but it wasn't sad tears it was tears of joy. I was very joyous and thankful that if in fact she doesn't get to go back I was lucky enough to spend that night there with her. Enjoy the ones that you love while you can and live each day as if it were your last.

My oldest daughter, who is told every day that she is mommy's princess is at Disney World with her grandparents for a week. She calls me the second day that she is there and says mommy you are never going to believe what I got to do today. They were waiting in line for Epcot to open and a lady who works there walked by and said hello to her. My daughter being the friendly little thing she is said hello. The lady then walked back by and asked her if she could do her a really big favor. She of coarse said yes. She got to be the princess for the day and welcome everyone to Epcot and open the gates. They had her stand up in front of everyone, introduced her, had her do a count down and then wave a wand and open the gates!  She said that it was a lot of fun and then said I always knew that I was a real princess. I was a little sad that I wasn't there to enjoy this experience with her, but at the same time I am so thankful that her grandparents are still able to take her to do stuff like this.

Ok so i went to the zoo today with Jana. We went to the ape house and while we were in there there was an ape trying to hang himself, one trying to escape thru a vent and another who thought it would be nice to pose for all of our pics. They were quite entertaining actually. But while in there we noticed that they had poster board up on the windows! Does anyone know why they do this?

Ok it's time for you to give me your opinions. We are going to head downtown for one of the St. Patricks Day parades just not to sure which one. We have been to both and had fun at both of them so help me make up my mind this year as to which one! Keep in mind we won't be taking kids with us! I'm Irish so I like to go and drink green beer and not have kids to worry about.

My name is Katie and I have 3 amazing kids who keep me very busy! I enjoy going to the Lake of the Ozarks, swimming, taking my kids to the park and whatever else I can find for us to do, going to Cardinals and Blues games, I love to be outside during the summer, but during the winter you will find me hiding inside somewhere. The cold and I don't get along. In whatever free time I can find I like to hang out with my friends, go shopping and I love to go dancing.
