You gotta be kiddn' me! Well if nothing else, it meant a slow news day. Since when do we have to worry about what every nit-wit and attention whore finds offensive? Shame on the store in question for even reacting. And for the crybaby who was offended? Get a life, and get over it. It's a "costume" for cryin' out loud. What's next?

Problem with giving this story any coverage at all is, the whiners will be comin' out of the woodwork.

Now, perhaps if they showed Bin Laden SMOKING, that would be a different story...

This clip made a first time Blogger out of me lol. Like I said in my blog I'm glad the store wasn't shown in a negative light. Actually it should make for good business for them. I've been to that store, they have great products and great people work there. I hope they sell out for the season.

Good god. It's a rubber mask. There's a lot of other things that people should be outraged about in regards to Bin Laden, but a rubber mask is the least of them.

The worst thing is; now I have to find a different costume...

Anyone who purchases and wears a Bin Laden costume needs to watch out for anyone with the middle name Wayne (see JC's commentary). They may just mistake them as the real Bin Laden.

I think this is more an issue about just being sensitive to the feelings of others. Do you have the legal right to wear an OBL mask? Yes. Is it in the best of taste? No.

What if I dressed up as a child with Downs Syndrome and you HAD a child with DS? You might not like that. And it wouldn't be very sensitive of me.

What if I dressed up as a woman with a dead baby hanging off an umbilical cord and you had HAD a stillbirth? CAN I do that? Yes. But it's VERY insensitive of the feelings of others.

A LOT of people lossed family members on 9/11, and if you were one of them you might be singing a different tune.

Hopefully the mother of the woman who jumped to her death rather than burn won't see the person in this costume. And hopefully the mother with a child who will never know his father, because he is dead due to OSM's actions wont' either.

It's just a matter of kindness vs. "I can do whatever the hell I WANT to."

Several years ago Prince William wore a Nazi Uniform as a costume. He was under fire because of his insensitivity.

And hopefully, we will see more and more people burying their head in the sand so they won't be offended. Where does it stop?
Anyone who saw the mask could clearly see it was a caricature. Does anyone truly believe that someone wearing that mask would actually look like OBL?
C'mon people. Lighten up.

Hmmm....Fetus dangling from an umbilical cord, great idea! Now, where did I leave my rubber placenta?

I don't agree to it either. But to the Fox 2 News group. I watched the reports last night and this morning and noticed that the man's face was not revealed. But when I watched it this morning, I noticed that his face was revealed in one of the reports. Should have that been done if he didn't want to be shown? I would like to know.

One more thing I didn't mentioned the story. I'm talking about the Bin Laden costume at the store in west county.

Well, Dang..My entire town would have to start a petition on me if they want to complain about anything I do on Halloween around my Crypt. Hey its Oct 1 and I still have no decor out yet. The last weekend of Oct is when I will begin to Decor. Dan, I could dig a huge hole in my graveyard if you care to scare any rodents that pass by. =)

People need to get off the cross because some one else needs the wood.

Personally I would by that costume just for Kicks!

Hmmm, maybe the CIA would be so confused by all the Bin Ladens that he could move around freely again. Move out of his house in Miami!

If you don't like chocolate, don't buy it. But you're going to find it every where! You're not going to get stores to stop selling chocolate if people are buying it any more than you're going to stop people from buying the Bin Laden costume. You can't boycott all stores that sell chocolate, any more than you can boycott all stores that sell the Bin Laden costumes. What I say is, if you don't like the costume, don't buy it. It's just that simple. HOWEVER (and there's always a "HOWEVER" in life), I can't imagine anyone WANTING to buy a costume that resembles that dirt bag! On second thought, maybe we'll FINALLY be able to find him! LOL!

Halloween (aka: Trick or Treating) is for only one evening in most cities therefore worry about something more serious like......how fattening the candy is?

I just love scaring the crap out of kids on Halloween. I'm evil I know - I take the mask off for the really little ones.

The Osama mask just wouldn't have the same effect as some creepy, bloody, mangled mask, though it probably should...

I'm an introspective nearly 50 white guy. I'm thinking about how I might retire. Tired of giving everything away. All of my 3 kids are gone, I have a smart, good-looking wife, and a couple of shi-tzu's. I scuba dive, play guitar in a rock band, restore vintage Porsches, and try to remain calm. 4th of July and Halloween are my favorite holidays.
