Today is my wife's birthday.

Since last summer, when I had to put our 16 year-old cat, baby down, she's been talking about getting another. Perfect, I think. I shoot over to the local shelter and get her a rescue kitten. It'll be purrrfect!

WHERE ARE ALL OF THE CATS?

You would think, to hear all of the PETA people, that we are up to our necks in unwanted animals! Here I am people! Ready to take one of the millions of stray felines out of welfare and into the role of house pet.

But noooooo!

Oh well, not much I can do. But I'm afraid candy and a card aren't going to cut it this year...

Awwww!~! really no kitty's.Did you drive the alley's J/K.I can't believe the shelters don't have any.I don't either if I could catch a few of these around here you would be welcome to them.They are the nabors.Maybe someone on here will know someone who has kittens.

My best freind has been taking care of an abandoned female cat. It's tan and white & female. She just had babies a few months ago so we know she's not fixed. If you're interested please let me know because my friend can not take care of her forever. Oh ya, she's in Valley Park.

Did you try pet smart they have cats all the time. Here in Farmington at the Humane place they usaly have kittys,thats were we got our Morgan 2 years ago.

Hey Dan...First dont forget the most Important parts of a wife's Birthday.....The Card....a nice Dinner...and the noble gesture like taking out the trash without even having to be asked.....Then you might consider also skiopping happy hour today....If all else fails...you might try Open Door Animal Sanctuary....they have lots of cats...But they are here by me in House Springs....Pet Mart has stray rescue on Sat n Sun...Last but not least.....Happy Birthday Monet

Antsmomie, thank you very much for the offer, but my daughter found one down at the Humane Society in the city.
Wildflower - Card, bouquet, sushi, crabcakes, scallops seared in butter and garlic, pecan encrusted trout.

Have you gone to Petsmart or Petco and seen if they have any rescue cats?

I'm suprized the pound doesn't have any.

I'm an introspective nearly 50 white guy. I'm thinking about how I might retire. Tired of giving everything away. All of my 3 kids are gone, I have a smart, good-looking wife, and a couple of shi-tzu's. I scuba dive, play guitar in a rock band, restore vintage Porsches, and try to remain calm. 4th of July and Halloween are my favorite holidays.
