Well, it's 3:21 am and I'm on a conferece call to make sure all of our systems are not being affected by the change. What a HUGE waste of time. Our company has expended at least 8000 hours of work to make sure that nothing bad happens. Do people not understand that if something is off by an hour, we AS HUMAN BEINGS can figure it out for ourselves?

Do we rely too much on technolgy to do our thinking?

I think so.

I went straight from closing time to work.

That's just wrong.

dear sir:
since you have had nothing but negative things to say about my blogs you prove to me why I don't care too much for the human race. Were you never taught to either say something nice or just keep it to your self? I'm sure you're a joy to be around. Blogs are for the purpose of the writer to write what they feel is appropriate. Since you insist on being such an unhappy and negative man I just thought I'd share with you the meaning of the word proactive - maybe you could join my tutoring company for a few classes as well. thank you for the lesson today and have a wonderful weekend - maybe you'll find something to smile about tomorrow:

Well,
I have my PC set for automatic updates so I guess it found and downloaded the patch itself. It was one of the clocks I didn't have to adjust this morning.
My cell keeps time via the Atomic Clock in Denver, CO so it adjusted itself too.
My VCR is about 4 years old so I adjusted it myself along with the battery powered clock on the wall in my bedroom.
My DVD player is brand new and apparently downloaded something itself and it too adjusted itself. (ah, the marvels of technology)
The stove, the microwave and my alarm clock still require manual adjustment. I am anal so they have all now been adjusted to within a few seconds of each other. I can't stand 2 clocks in the same room with different times on them.
Now if I could get a download for my brain to adjust my biological clock I would be set! LOL
Enjoy the extra daylight friends..

titaniumtraction Jeanette or Goots can explain it really well, You have to go the photobucket.com and register, upload pictures and copy the Html code and past it in the comment box. That is probably as clear as mud.

I went to download the patch for DST and my computer said I already had 1 installed. Guess it was already there when I purchased the computer.

Dan, I do think they put to much time and thought into technology and people depend on it to much in their everyday routines. We as bloggers depend on the computer, if it goes down we panic. People with cell phones stuck in their ear 24-7 would freakout if they suddenly quit working. Companies run machinery with computers. How do you think people would react if we had a blackout all over the world. It would be total caos.

I'm an introspective nearly 50 white guy. I'm thinking about how I might retire. Tired of giving everything away. All of my 3 kids are gone, I have a smart, good-looking wife, and a couple of shi-tzu's. I scuba dive, play guitar in a rock band, restore vintage Porsches, and try to remain calm. 4th of July and Halloween are my favorite holidays.
