WOW It SNOWED in Belleville

After watching it rain most the morning with fading hopes for snow .... but around 0930 it started to sleet. Probably 1/4 to 1/2 of sleet accumulated. Then around 1115 it switched to heavy snow! Vis was around 1/4 of a mile for 2 hours, estimate we received 3 maybe 4 inches. VERY IMPRESSIVE SNOW FALL RATES!!!

I am an Air Force Officer and Pilot. I am an avid reader about weather, learning as much as I can about forecasting. I have chased tornadoes in Kansas, I lived at McConnell AFB and watched the Andover F5. Raised outside of Chicago I am a snow lover - can't get enough of the lake effect!!
