Just when we all thought that playing basketball was all for young people, well get ready for this one. Here is a basketball player that played a game at the age of 73. That's right! A basketball player that is 73 years old! You never know what will happen next in the sports world.

Singing at the stadium/dome

Well, since management at the Edward Jones Dome, Busch Stadium, and Scottrade Cener won't publish the lyrics to the Star Spangled Banner and God Bless America, I went to the Yanni board and had them post the lyrics. So if you feel like singing the national anthem and God Bless America, print out the lyrics on the link and you can have them with you. Remember, if you don't want to sing, that's fine. If you do, that's fine also.

Here is a video of the National Anthem being played in Philly. And this is the way it's supposed to be;

Remember this the next time you go to the game.
Singing the National Anthem is not that bad. But some don't sing because either they feel that they only want to hear the soloist sing. But this is America, the land of the free. So during the home game of the Rams and the Cardinals games, and the announcer states the singing of the National Anthem and God Bless America, stand up and
SING!!!
SING NICE AND LOUD SO THAT ALL THE MICS WILL PICK UP YOUR VOICES!!
The National Anthem and God Bless America are public domain songs. You will not get in trouble for singing along. You all paid good money for those tickets. People of all ages can sing those two songs at the ballpark!

Did you hear an extra voice singing "God Bless America" and also on the National Anthem? That was me. My friends thought that was awsome. I thought that I ruined the game, but they thought it sounded pretty. They stated that if I go onto Senior Idol, they would vote for me.
There is something at the ballpark that is still missing. That is more handicap access to the seats. If you have a ticket for section 250 and you are in a wheelchair, you can't get to it. They need to do better. You can get to 3 in the elevator, but not to section 250. I guess if you are in a wheelchair, you don't get to sit outside and sing along on the national anthem or God Bless America. They do have plush seats but not much on handicap acess. Having no handicap access to section 250 is against the law!
The sound of the organ at the ballpark has been always the best in the house. I could long remember when Ernie Hayes would lead us in the "Star Spangled Banner" and also "Take Me Out to the Ballgame". We need to write to the Cardinals staff to let them know and request that they let Ernie Hayes play the "Star Spangled Banner" and "Take Me out to the Ballgame".
Everybody sing at the ballgame

Each time I turn on the game or go to the game, I don't hear much people singing the national anthem or God Bless America. Those are both sing-along songs. Please when the announcer calls for you to stand for the natioinal anthem, or for God Bless America, SING ALONG!! Sing nice and loud so that everyone can hear you. So remember, everybody sings along on the national anthem and God Bless America.
Gone are the days when Ernie Hays played the National Anthem on the organ. I wish it would come back. It seems that now days, the National Baseball Leauge seems to hire young artists to sing at the games. Only artist I rather have at the games to play the National Anthem and God Bless America is Yanni. Because he does it pretty straight. When you here Yanni play a piece of music, you can tell it's really music. In order to play infront of a large crowd, you have to practice pretty hard. The great composers worked long hard to make thier songs very popular.

I thought that the Blues would win with Bret Hull. I thought that they Blues would go nuts with him here. But when it comes to going to Hockey, riding public transit to the game and back home rather than drinking and driving saves you thousands of dollars. With that kind of money, that's a lot of hockey tickets! Now if we want Metro to honor Bret Hull or Dallas Drake, we should contact Metro and have them paint an entire bus or MetroLink car metalic blue. Remember, with the Shrewsbury MetroLink line in service, you can take Call-a-Ride on the weekends to any of the stations in the county and transfer to MetroLink to finish the trip to the game.
