What I just just saw in this video was a trash truck's onboard trash compactor in action! And the govornment states that you are required by law to take your electronic items to a speicalized recycling center that recyles electronics. But it's a waste of public money for them not to tell us that.

Flying shoes

I have seen a picture of President Bush ducking because of a shoe being thrown at him. And it was by a reporter in Iraq! And I thought that reporters don't do things like that. It goes to show how much hatred in Iraq there is and the hatred has got to stop!!! I am sick of it! Using violence against one another is no way to get along. Even the bible says "Thou shall not kill."
I love the "Deal or Dud" program on Fox2. They seem to help out the little guy before making a purchace. We all know that there are some dishonest citizens out there that do sales work and at this time of year when someone wants to buy gifts for a loved one or friend, we want our good citizens to end up with a Merry Christmas.
There are times that I love seeing senior citzens handling a job that would normaly be done by a young person. It just adds decor to the place. To me, it looks kind of cute to see an old person at work. A person who is about 75 years old working at Target, or a man working at a snack bar at Wal-Mart who may be 94 years old. That would be wonderful if we could see activity like that! And what would look pretty is floor techs averaging between 50 and 100 on their ages. Since there are people with YEARS of experience, it would be stupid to throw their careers away.
Help out Sunnyhill

Sunnyhill who runs several facilities for citizens with disabilites may be breaking the law. I have learned that they haul as many as 10 adults in a van that is designed for 15 passengers. On a standard 15-passenger van, that is really 2 adults and 13 children. And the seatbelts are arranged for children in the bench seats. The seatbelt arrangement is not designed for hauling handicapped adults. Some adults are overweight. Sunnyhill does handle children as well. On a Sunday when I was coming back from Memphis after riding the trolley, the driver almost got a ticket for driving an overloaded van. We were exiting the parking garage and we were stopped and questioned by the security/cashier at the garage. Please sign this petition so that yo can let them know that Sunnyhill needs to straighten up if they want to get any more funding.

I saw something on the Care 2 petition site. And that is that they have a statement that they don't give out emails to spammers! And they even state that they hate spammers! But I am not sure if that is true or if it is just a trick. I would never sign a petition that gives out private emails to spammers. Someone stated that e-petition sites do give out email addresses to spammers. Well, that is true that there are some. And it is hard to tell which ones really don't give out emails to spammers.
There is a petiton out there that is to restore order to the age discrimination law also known as the ADA. Now there is a catch-22 deal that allows corporations to discriminate against people with disabilities. And if you are in a wheelchair, some corporations can say "we don't want you" and get away with it. And it's just downright stupid. Metro has to have wheelchair lifts on their buses so that wheelchair passengers can ride. ThePetitionSite.com states that they would never give out your email address.
Well, here is the petition;

MAD AS HELL AT STARBUCKS

It turns out to be that the CEO wants to be stupid. They are closing Starbucks restaurants right and left. The high-ups didn't return the calls to comment about it. I give Fox2 my authority to keep calling them. Even if it makes the CEO mad at Fox2. I am not sure why and I would love to know. Well, lets teach Starbucks a leson. Lets abandon them and maybe that will be a good hard slap in the wallet!
Ladies, you know how important it is for you to get screened for breast cancer, but you also want to be screened for ovarian cancer. Not being screened for ovarian cancer can cause confusion and delay on having children when you are young. Getting screened for ovarian cancer at a young age is a good move so that way if a tumor is spotted, it can be treated before there is any more trouble.

Hiring workers- The law

The website in this post talks about the rules that an employer must follow in trying to hire a worker. When you blend in older workers with younger ones, you really come thru. No, I am not trying to get rid of all the young workers and replace them with nothing but older workers, but it's a way to expand a company's productivity. There have been studies that has shown that older workers are truly reliable. The myths state that older workers are less productive than younger workers, and they get sick more often. But the truth is that today's older workers are more healthier and they are more productive. Now instead of saying nasty things about this post, look at the link and understand the truth and let's hear some positive things this time!
With gas prices hitting record levels, we need to find out who is behind all of this. If it's the oil companies, they ought to be denied tax cuts since they are trying to see how rich they can get. If it's Bush in charge, we can say good ridance to him due to that he may be supporting it. Even in 2004, I voted for John Kerry because I didn't trust Bush back then. I thougt that he was a good man for getting the second term in office. Large coporations that chooses to be stupid doesn't deserve any huge tax cuts. In fact, they ought to be punished for their greediness.
YouTube has some medical oriented videos as well as the stuff you see on the news about videos being posted on YouTube.

That is a video of your throat and a portion of your asafagis.
Helpinig out young workers

I have done something sweet for the younger workers. At times I would tell them some history about the hospital and the older buffers. And I would help them out by pointing out some safety issues so that they can live a long life. And they enjoy that. They always feel that with me with my age about ready to hit the 50 year mark not before too long, I am very kind to them.
Work and the Age law

There is something that have learned in the workforce on the AARP site. If your company employs less than 25 people, then you have the right to hire only young people and turn down senior citizens for wanting to work for you. But if you hire that 25th person and begin hiring more, then your rights of turning down a well qualfied worker reguardless of age is automatically denied. At St. John's Medical Center, we don't even bother to look at the age. We have been hiring some people from as young as 18 to as high as 95. And we even have some sisters that are working well into their upper 90's and some going on up to 100. What I do for the younger workers, I help them out. And they appreciate the work.
