Sometimes you wonder if Metro really has adults working there at the office on Laclede's Landing.  Once Prop M failed, Metro starts coming up with ideas to get back at the voters who voted "no" by taking away service from everybody that lives west or south of I-270.  And now I too am stuck with taking the long way to work rather than taking another course in driver ed.  With the money I earn each month, it is not enough to cover costs of gasoline, maintenance and insurance on a car or truck.  We gave Metro some ideas and rather than taking the public's advice, they chose to do it their way.  The high-ups needs to shut up and listen to the riders that really need the service.  But I am at least a man who forgives Metro and someday they will expand.  Also it could be that the voters should have voted yes and instead they blew it for the rest of us who do need transportation.  People who are handicapped that live in South County or West County are stuck without any service effective March 30th.  What do the "no" voters want the handicapped to do when it comes to trying to get to work.  Go to hell?

What I just just saw in this video was a trash truck's onboard trash compactor in action!  And the govornment states that you are required by law to take your electronic items to a speicalized recycling center that recyles electronics.  But it's a waste of public money for them not to tell us that.

Ever been to Paris or London, England, and ever wondered how those monsterous organs got fired up or turned off, check out this video.  You can hear sort of a "Meow" like sound when the blowers kick on and when they turn off.

Toccata en Si mineur d'Eugène GIGOUT

This is made on one of my favorite organs, the Cavaille-Coll.

There are two Rescue 911 multi-part videos on YouTube about the dangers of leaving children in your car unattended!

Rescue 911 - Episode 301H -

This is part one of the video!  And the name of the video is called "Sinking Sisters"

Rescue 911 - Episode 301H -

This is part 2 of the same video.

Station wagons, SUVs and vans are heavier than most sedans and they sink a wee bit faster.

I have found several items on Metro's website that is in need of some work!  They still have their maps in PDF format, their system map in PDF format and their news document in PDF format.  And if you want to read the slides, you have to have the LATEST version of Adobe Acrobat Reader.  Adobe seems to have some flaws on their site that sometimes won't allow you to upgrade your free reader.  Metro knows fair and square that many companies won't allow you do download the reader and that keeps those companies in the dark when it comes to downloading a map.  If they want to get more support, then they need to straighten up and start opening at least the route and system maps to everybody WITHOUT the requirement of the Adobe Acrobat Reader.

I have seen a picture of President Bush ducking because of a shoe being thrown at him.  And it was by a reporter in Iraq!  And I thought that reporters don't do things like that.  It goes to show how much hatred in Iraq there is and the hatred has got to stop!!!  I am sick of it!  Using violence against one another is no way to get along.  Even the bible says "Thou shall not kill."

Ringing in the new year can be fun, but it isn't fun when you choose to drink and drive!  In the past, the city of St. Louis would pay the cab fare to have the cab company take you home and you end up with the free ride.  And you only pay the cab to go to pick up your car the next day.  Metro used to even offer free rides to everybody after 9:00 PM.  Watch this video on YouTube and you would be amazed that even paying the newer fare for Metro is much, much better than drunk driving!

Did you know that in the city of St. Louis, and in many suburbs in St. Louis you can get a ticket for not keeping your sidewalks cleared and free of ice.  I was walking down Dickson this evening and about 1/4 of a mile of it was not salted at all.  And also if someone slips and falls on the sidewalk that runs by your house, they can sue you!  So when it comes to salting your sidewalk that runs from your porch to your driveway, if you have a public sidewalk that runs along the public street, show some respect by shoveling it and salting it so that they don't slip and fall.

Metro has opened a new stop in Maplewood and did not bother to tell the public about it.  It's like they tell the news media but someone at Metro says "SSSHHHHH!!!  DON'T TELL ANYONE!  IT'S A SECRET!"  But we can do is round up all the ones who voted "no" on Prop M and hav them give the "You Paid for it" team a call and damage the secrecy!"  But do it at midnight when nobody's looking.  If you are worried about getting caught, write down what Metro is doing wrong, and write down the you paid for it number.  Hand the note to a gang member and leave as fast as you can.

Check out this bus!!!  It is the Galloping goose #5.  No school bus has ever built entrance doors on both sides!

But just like MetroLink, they wanted to have easy access for the passengers from either side.  This thing runs only on narrow gauge tracks.

I have found some info on the opening of the new section of highway 40.  However the exact schedule of what entrance ramps and exits are being kept secret because of the war on terrorism.  However they are doing they did post the closure schedule of the streets from the Innerbelt to Kingshighway.

But remember, just so you get used to the new section, stay off your cell phones while navigating the new highway.  If you have to get info about the latest news via your cell phone, PULL OVER AND STOP!!  Plus, if you have a song playing on your CD player in your car, that tune will have to wait.  With the storm, it's best to keep your stereo turned down at a low level, headlights on, brain ON, and your cell phone either off or resting in the console!  If it rings, let the phone's onboard voicemail get it.  I rather you arrive at your job in one piece!

Doesn't this sound like something from the movies?  This was recorded in 1959.  Caville-Coll was one of the famous French organ builders up until the 20th Century.  If you want to build the one like at St. Sulpice, you are asking for trouble due to that those huge pipe organs with the 32' pedal pipes require tons and tons of space.  But if you have a living room and lots of other rooms to spare for the pipes, have at it.

Coming spring, service west of 270 will be dead thanks to those who voted down Prop M.  The ones that are also hurting are the disabled people.  I am disapointed that now people with disabilites will get no service west of I-270.  Some stated that they would vote in favor if Charlie Dooley is out of office.  It is time that we stop being so selfish and think about others.  Especailly the senior citizens and the handicapped!  Think!  If you had a person with disabilties and is wheelchair bound, would you want that person to have a way to get around??

I was coming home on the bus Tuesday and could not believe the way people drive!  I saw one girl in a silver Buick not watching what she was going, and the bus driver blew at her.  Then as soon as she got to the left lane to let the bus gain some speed, she tried to get back at the bus.  And another gal driving a black SUV was on a cell phone while driving and not watching what she was doing.  I was so tempted to get up out of my seat and yell at the motorist to get off the phone.  But I did feel better in not doing it because if I did, she would have gotten down the number on the bus, and the bus driver would have wound up with a write-up.  At least I was next to a solid domelight backstop that is used to help cut down windshield glare.  And I have found out that the board is a really big safety board.  Not only does it cut down domelight glare behind the bus driver but it also protects handicapped riders that are sitting in that seat from being thrown thru the windshield.  People!!  If you feel you need to use the cell phone while in motion, RIDE THE BUS!  If you feel you have to have your tunes with you as you travel, buy a walkman and RIDE THE BUS!  You can listen to your walkman on the bus.  The websites are;

Vacuum-Cleaner

I love Fox2 News because of the "You Paid for it" helping us to know who to vote for and who ought to be voted out of office. Transit oriented Development is like a big vacuum cleaner attachment to clean up the city. I feel that Call-a-Ride is Metro's second best mode of transportation along with the famous MetroLink. To ride Call-a-Ride, dial 534-1544 Monday thru Sunday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. For maps and schedules on the many Metro Bus routes, MetroLink, and Call-a-Ride paratransit service log onto; http://www.metrostlouis.o
