Having just heard what Randi just said  on the news about abortion, I'm appalled!  60% of all abortions are performed on women who have had at least 1 child!  After already having a baby do you all not know how to prevent pregnancy?  It's not abortion  people.... for God's sake!  If you don't want any more children or not at this time, how about using birth control instead of just killing it!

Let's see how many agree with me on this, or how many are gonna fight me on it. I realize it's a woman's body to do with what she want's, but how about using something to prevent pregnancy to start with! Geez!!

Abortion should never be an "out" for birth control especially for a female over the the age of 18 that's already had a child. I am ProChoice and proud of it! In the case of incest or rape, this should be the choice of a woman but not because she got knocked up and needs an "OUT".

With the amount of education all kids are getting nowadays, there should be absolutely NO excuse for unwanted pregnancies!

That's true. I totally agree with you. Birth control is too easy to get now days. This old thing of "I didn't know you could get pregnant from one time" is bunk!

Hi USF, I agree that abortion should not replace birth control. I am however pro choice. I feel that there are certain situations where an abortion might be nessecary and because of this woman should have a choice. However just to keep having abortion after abortion, because you are too stupid to keep your legs closed is another story. JMO

I am Pro choice and I believe that a woman has the right to get an abortion if she so wishes.

But at the same time running to the clinic every other month for one is not acceptable. Not when birth control is so easily available.

Using abortion as a form of birth control has nothing to do with a womans rights but more to do with being to stupid to stay off your back or too lazy to take the pill or open a condom.

Our society today is so much for accountability when it comes to drunk driving, child abuse, sexual abuse etc. but if you have sex and get pregnant you can just go and make it go away. Like Randi stated only 16% are teens most are grown women who know how these things happen. I think it is disgusting. I am not saying there are no circumstances that it should be considered but making it just that easy is crazy where it can be a form of birth control is disgraceful.

It's not the woman's body. It's the baby's body. The woman can throw her body off a bridge is she CHOOSES for all I care. But the baby's body is just that, the BABY'S body.

So, it's not her body that she's killing.

And what I heard Randi say was that whatever % it was of women who have had an abortion ALREADY had HAD at least ONE OTHER abortion. They're serial killers.

I don't believe in abortion, except for medical emergancies, but just to have one because you were stupid and spread your legs and didn't use procaution well than give that baby to a well deserving family.

The only time I agree with abortion at all is when there is a medical emergency. Other than that I also agree it is murder.

If you believe in abortion for medical emergencies - that's ProChoice. If you believe that no abortion is or should be performed, folks, that's ProChoice - get it - it's a choice.

As for abortion is murder comments, there's no legal backing on that matter except case study has proven that manslaughter sometimes is charged on extreme cases - google it.

Remember, ProLifers and ProChoicers, this will go nowhere but the battle field. So, to change the subject....how about those New York Giants?

So the law says it is a woman's body and she has a choice to have an abortion. What about the father of the child, why doesn't he have a choice.

Speedy so when people don't agree no one should talk about it? Don't you get it, it is a choice to blog or not to blog. Go start a blog about the New York Giants.

Speedo - I know exactly what you mean by a never ending story about abortion. Blah blah blah.....

The father doesn't have the ultimate choice because he's not going to be carrying the fetus to birth. And, why didnt' this father take precautions like using a condom? That's a sign of negligence right there.

What the heck do the Giants have to do with this issue - none of them are pregnant are they?

I don't care what the law says.... I think abortion is just wrong......

I think personally it is wrong, but on the other hand I don't think I have the right to tell a woman what to do with her body. Pregnacy is a responsibility, if you don't want to get pregnant, Use birth control,

I don't know how someone could live with themselves especially the ones that have another child. I guess they live the rest of their lives trying to justify it. It is murder of a living being plain and simple.

I agree with you, USFemail. I went to highschool with a few girls who had abortions in lieu of using birth control. I can only imagine how they must feel now, after giving birth and raising children.
For any woman who is struggling with a past abortion, I leave this link:

The daughter of some one I know recently had unprotected sex with a man that knew he had aids and did not tell her until after (they where drunk) He is now under arrest for his actions. They don't know if she has aids yet or if she is pregnant. Many times I have heard of babies being born with aids. A simple act of responsable judgement in using protection could have spared the innocent child.
