Hey weather guys......what's it gonna take to get some rain?  Here in the southwest part of Franklin County we get NO rain!  I don't understand why just in this spot it just goes around us.  I do realize there's nothing anybody can do about it. I just don't get it!

I think there's more to this than the news media is (allowed to be?) telling us.

This is the fifth time in as many weeks that a wall of rain has been heading our way, only to dissipate upon hitting the mid-east section of Missouri around the St. Louis Metropolitan area, and then reform after the front passes our metro area.

Come on - I find this hard to believe it's just coincidence.

Actually, right now as I am writing this, the Fox radar image (at 9PM sharp) is showing rain REFORMING immediately as it passed to the east of the St. Louis area. Dry over the metro area, exploding in rain after it passes.

Actually, I've noticed for the last few years (since Bush - coincidence?) and have even commented to friends about the "doughnut hole" effect over St. Louis - rain fronts arrive here, only to form a doughnut hole over the metro area. Sometimes it is a perfect circle!

I have read articles indicating some scientists are aware of this, and it is NOT just because of the heat island effect. It does NOT happen in ALL big cities. Doesn't happen in KC, for example. I read somewhere they had about six or seven cities where they documented this happens, and they are all heavy industial cities with petroleum and chemical industries.

Therefore, maybe we should be asking: Is this Monsanto's nature-bending life-altering chemical and bio engineering pollution causing this? Maybe all those gene-altered plants? Or some other noble corporate polution?

I think someone should investigate, because it's getting wierder each year.

Guess anything is possible, USF, although I'm not a conspiracy oriented person. Same over here in Collinsville. See all this nice rain coming on radar, then it goes around us or drys up. Finally a little rain last night, but very, very light. Dave had posted some good blogs explaining some of this, and they're not based on politics.

I don't have any scientific background to back this up, but I believe we're just in a dry cycle right now. I just read a post by chumpeth1 mentioning this stuff. Maybe one of the weather folks will respond.

I am a retired letter carrier with the Postal Service. I live in the country with my husband, who is my best friend. We met doing country dancing and did a lot of it. I have three children...1 daughter and 2 sons. We are now the proud grandparents of a beautiful baby girl! I am a country girl thru and thru, and love nothing better than living out here in the middle of our woods! I love Fox 2 in the morning and feel lacking if I don't get to see it. You guys crack me up!! Love you all!
