We will be highlighting the nutrition side of Tammy's transformation program this coming Sunday (November 18th). Emily Small is the registered and licensed dietitian with Nutriformance at the Pilates and Yoga Center of St. Louis. Tammy says she is really getting a wake up call as to what she should be eating...and how much food she really CAN have!

She is also now doing Pilates 3x per week. She will have an equipment class, a mat class and a private class. If she does this with us 3 time a week, she will be well on her way with her fitness plan. Any other cardio, free weights etc that Ellen designs for her she will be able to do at home on her own.

Tammy's pilates instructor, Mary Zorich, says they have pushed the envelope and that Tammy did great. I told her to stop the reps if she ran out of steam, also that control and form were the most important elements, and just wait til the next sequence. Mary gives us a rundown of what they covered:

Proper breathing through ribs instead of low belly
Core connections to movement and pelvic floor
Pelvic stability in movement
Spinal articulation
Balancing out leg strength (more inner thigh work, more hamstring stretch)
Foot and ankle alignment to help core and spine in exercise
Connecting movement sequences for better flow and endurance

Take all of this information and realize that you too can have the same success! Anything you need directly for your own program can be obtained by calling the TEAM at 314-781-5050

Jeanette, what is "godian" and what is a "big straw neclave"? Why is this rope good? I ask this because it is my goal to get the best rope I can this week!!

Gordian is part of our insurance company that helps you with getting heathier and lowers your insurance premiums. The sent me all kind of stuff to try to occupy my time when I wanted to smoke.Michelle did you ever make necklace's out of cut up straw's strung on yarn. That is what this rope reminds me of except big hard straw.I will bring it to you if you are going to the winery. You can try it and see if you like it.If you don't then give it back if you like it keep it.I won't use it.I don't know if it is good it just had a tag on it that said it was an olympic jumprope.

Aside from my work at Fox 2, I am also the host of The Health & Fitness show on KMOX Sundays from 1-3pm. I have been the Head Fitness Trainer at Riverchase of Fenton for almost 9 years. I also write a health article for Streetscape Magazine in St. Charles. As for my personal hobbies, some of my greatest passions in life all relate to music. I have been singing and dancing since I was 3. I have also been an athlete since I was a kid, excelling in the sports of soccer, softball and basketball. I am extremely close to my family and miss my father daily. We lost him September 12th 1995. He and my mom would dance and you would think it was poetry in motion. My mother is one of my dearest friends, I have two brothers and a sister, all of whom are older. I am blessed to have many friends and acquaintances. I also love animals and have a beautiful dog named Kyra, who just turned 8 in September. I also adopted Kailei from the Humane Society of Monroe County in May of 2007, she is an amazing puppy. She is being trained by Casey and Shelly Ray with Team Dog St. Louis. I swear they are just like Cesar Milan, The Dog Whisperer. They even have their own little pack :-). Give me my family, friends, a great man that I fall in love with, pets, music, sports, a nice restaurant, a good martini and a sharp sports car and I could live forever! :-) LOL. Thanks for reading.
