Okay, I know I just put in another blog, but this is totally different.
Currently, I live with my parents in Florissant, and we are thinking of moving. My dad works at Boeing, I work at Feld Chevrolet and will be going to school at UMSL. We are the only two worrying about commuting. My mom works for American Greetings and drives all over the place and my brother is going to Springfield for school (we hope). We have been looking around North County (mostly Bridgeton) and also in St. Charles, but not too far out, just 370 or 364.
I have heard people having mixed feelings about moving from North County to St. Charles, saying that they wish they could move back.
Any opinions are welcome.
Thanks.

This may be a long, close to impossible feat, but I will try. I am looking for anything about a young man (in his 20s?) that was killed in a hit and run on Vaile Rd. (where Jost Farm subdivision is) in North County. It happened in the early 90s, we know after October 1991. The family of the man that was killed was very persistent for years after he was killed to find out any information. There were posters and signs throughout the area around where he was hit, but nothing ever came of it, it is still unsolved.
If you could give me a web site or some advice for searching or more details, please let me know. I have tried the Post, but haven't found anything. I am not trying to solve this case by any means, I just am wanting to know more info since I was young when it happened and it came up in a conversation I was having today....just a strange type story.
Thank you in advance.

So tommorrows and Saturday are the anniversaries of two of the worst storms I have experienced in my short life. I hope to never have to go through anything like that again. I hate storms....I hate clouds even. Then Dave has to go and say "Chance of storms tomorrow" I was like, well, crap, here we go again. I have been nervous all night about these "storms" and scared that they are going to be like a year ago. Part of it is that I have to work late tommorrow (til 6pm) I always feel better if I am at home, but still. I am going to pray nothing THAT bad happens tommorrow! I'll keep the Xanax handy anyways though.

I watch the Fox 2 Morning Show 5 days a week for about 45 minutes. I would call the FoxFans line, but I hardly ever hear it. I decided to put my input on two things I remember from this week, usually I don't have any sort of problems, but I just HAVE to point these out for fun.
Earlier in the week, they were talking about the new words in the dictionary. "Crunk" does not mean cool, well it does, but that is the "family friendly" version. It was originally used by the rapper Lil' Jon and he meant Crunk to mean "crazy-drunk" Like "Lets get crunk!" Lets get crazy drunk? or Lets get cool? You decide.
Haha, this one I am still laughing about. Friday, they were reporting that teen sex is down in percentages or teen pregnancy, whatever. Anyways, this is what Pertz said," Teen sex is down but condom use by teens is up." What are they using the condoms for? Water balloons? Haha, but it is a good thing, I couldn't imagine having a child at my age, or younger! I have a 3 year old cousin, and just having him for 3 hours wears me out! I couldn't imagine him being my own, I have too much stuff going on.

So I was watching the amazing Cardinals game today and I saw the Ford commercial with Albert Pujols in it. It features the Fusion, F-150, and Explorer, I'm not sure if there were any other cars in the commercial, but it claims that the Explorer is the best selling SUV in America. Personally, I don't like Ford, but I think that the commercial is bad because it's targeted towards St. Louis and all, which is fine, but then it says the Explorer is the best selling SUV in America when they shut down the plant in Hazelwood. I was just wondering if anyone felt that this commercial was just kind of screwed up.

I can't believe that since you guys started showing prom pictures on the air that you haven't asked for ours or put up a blog on it. Any other time you guys ( I mean the Morning Show) are showing photos, you ask for ours too! So, here is mine, and if anyone else wants to post theirs, go for it, these are always fun to look at!

Yeah, I know they are from 2005, not to long ago. I have no clue why Dave made a weird face in the first one, he's a nerd!!!!

I love the Cardinals..great game by the way today! I have one gripe...Chris Duncan, he is inconsistant, and I think that if he plays more, he may get better. My biggest problem is his chewing tobacco, IT IS NASTY! He goes up to bat, and it looks like he has a tumor sticking out of his cheek. Then he spits! ewewewewew! I don't mind if they chew bubble gum or sunflower seeds, what have you, but the chewing tobacco HAS TO GO! It is so gross and nasty, I don't care if he does it on his own time, but at the game, he should not be able to do that. They can't smoke on the field, tobacco on the field should be banned. Please do not start leaving comments about smoking in Busch, there are enough blogs about that, this is about Chris Duncan and any other baseball player that chews while playing, it is just nasty and I think that it makes the team (and city) look bad.

I love spring...I hate the allergies that it brings me. I take Zyrtec everyday, but on humid, moist, crappy days like these, it can only do so much. I was just wondering if anyone else has to deal with dumb allergies and what they do about it. Oh, and when is this rain and clouds going to end?

I can not tell you how happy I am that the Mills is adopting a curfew policy for kids under 16. Being 3 (almost 4) years older than those kids, I do see where they could think it isn't fair that mom and/or dad have to be with them in the mall, but it's just like I can't get in certain clibs until I am 21, granted I can't go in them now if I take my parents, but it is the same idea. I believe that younger kids are getting more freedom than I had at that age, it's not fair, but that isn't my point. Usually, 16 year olds don't have jobs, and if they do, they pay very little, so those kids shouldn't be at the mall anyways because if they aren't there to buy anything or exercise, all they are there for is to hang out which equals trouble. I know, because we used to go to Mid Rivers Mall and just "hang out" and we would get in trouble. Except now, the trouble is worse than what we were doing. If the problems that the minors are causing are affecting shoppers then it is a problem (i.e. causing fights and walking around in huge mobs that you can't get around). About the mobs, security has to follow them around and break them up, which is fine, but what about when security looses their authority and the police have to step in or the security basically doesn't have the guts to just go and stop what is going on. I think at any mall on the weekends, there needs to be more police presence, not in uniform, but in plain clothes because if there is too many uniforms, people may get scared. The Mills curfew is great idea and should stay in effect and also they have "Family Nights" planned on the nights that the kids have to be with their parents. Also, it keeps Hazelwood police on their toes so they don't have to pull me over for going through a burnt out yellow light...more on that later.

This is in response to the Contact 2 that aired Monday night. With my insane love of (certain) cars, I know a thing or two about buying and selling them. First off, the woman that was featured bought a used car, unless you have the piece of mind, do not buy the car, "With a used car, the history is a mystery." Don't believe that a little old lady drove the car to and from church each week....if that were the truth, you know how many carless little old people there would be, let's put it this way, the busses that go by churches would be full. Ask for a CarFax, most dealers offer them for free, if they don't walk out, you are entitled to know the history of a car before you buy it.
Second, she brought the car back to the dealer, which is fine, but she did not stick with one reason why, either she brought it back because it smelled bad (which in that case you would have them detail it to no charge to you, after you have signed your contract for financing, they can not add more charges onto your car) or that there was an incentive on new cars and that is what she wanted. If the incentive was the case, she had to trade it in, you can't back out of a deal, just to jump back into a new one. And about the trade-in, everyone looses money on trade-ins, they depreciate the moment you drive off the lot.
On the warraties, first off, every warranty has to be signed by whoever is buying it, most that I have seen are pretty self-explanitory of what they are, if you don't like what they are offering you, don't take it, even if you have been there five and a half hours, she should have left by then, no one ever needs a car that bad to wait that long, there are plenty of dealers in St. Louis, and I am sure others had Chevy Aveos.
She brought back the car for 0% financing, she was approved for 14%, yes, there is something wrong there, but it's not the dealer's fault, that is all about the credit score and a little that is factored in is what kind of car it is and on a $10,000 Chevy Aveo it would not have made that much of a difference.
Bottom line, don't sign anything that you don't understand, ask about upcoming incentives to see if you should wait to purchase, and try to check history, if you don't like the car dealer, leave, there are plenty to choose from in the area, they can try to keep you there, but you have legs, and if they grab on to them, then they are pretty desperate and I would RUN out of there. Finally, never buy a $10,000 car for $20,000.
