Well its week 5.....still hanging in there.  I gained last week so now 1 week later and my MIND is playing games with me.  My body wants to go and do the right thing but the mind says no you gained don't eat, stay away from foods.  The mind is very POWERFUL!!!!! 

This is a change that I have to make and its HARD!!!!!  For 20 + years I have been doing things 1 way and 1 way only......and now I have to change my way of living.  That means eating different, exercising, thinking different....which means POSITIVE THINKING!!!!  I'm just saying its hard....hard work.

Okay so I sound like I'm complaining NOOOOOO....just getting mad because I want to eat and then I don't think I should....but then I'm hungry.......this is as frustrating as trying to find MR. RIGHT!!!  Look this is me "KEEPING IT REAL!!!!"

I mean I got the excersise part.....its just changing the way I eat.....I know this I just need it to stick in my mind.  So I sent an e-mail to Emily my nutritionist and here was her response.

How is it going on the weekend without the routine of the work schedule in place?  How did the rest of the week go?  Are we doing the grocery store tour Tuesday at 5pm?  Let me know what you need and KEEP ON MOVIN' TOWARDS THAT CORVETTE!

It’s okay….the weekend was busy very busy……I will be honest I didn’t eat as I should have (6 times) and I haven’t been keeping track like I should.
But the good news is I we had a family x-mas party and it was an all you can eat buffet and I had only 1 plate and 1 scoop of whatever I ate…..and NOOOOOOOO SECONDS!!!!! And NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DESERTS!!!!!!
The MIND is TOUGH.  I gained last week so my mind tells DON’T EAT……but I know I have to….just working on getting it TOGETHER!!!!
Just keeping it REAL!!!!  I am going home to eat RIGHT….and work out on the treadmill.

Tammy, We can still go to the grocery store if you want and do a camera one later.  It's up to you.    Do not think I should or shouldn't be eating this way or that way.  Just make the small changes such as eat what you want just eat less of it.  Such as the AWESOME job you did at the X-mas party!  Way to go!  So yes it is a mind game that we play with ourselves so just listen to your body and eat when you are hungry (fruits/veggies, whole grains, and lean proteins and eat what you crave when you crave it) and be active most days of the week!   I'll see you tomorrow at 5pm at NutriFormance either way!   Emily

I'm so glad that I talked with her and she put me right back on track.  As always THANKS Emily. So I think thats it for this week.....I am feeling much better than I was feeling 2 months ago.  So this program is working.  I think its the weather.........VERY DEPRESSING!!!!!  So it's making me depressed.  I'll get through it....I'm just very THANKFUL to be here and THANKFUL for this program and my TEAM!!!!!!

Hi everybody,

Well it has been 1 month....and sorry for the delay on posting my blog but had a little set back.  I threw out my back.......OUCH!!!!!!  So I was unable to workout the week of Thanksgiving and the only thing I could do was to ice my back and rest, rest, and rest.  Which is what I did.  I talked with "The Team" and they all guided me through this mishap.  They all agreed that I needed to take that week off and heal and I'm so thankful that they are here for me to talk with and to keep me GROUNDED.  I thought it was a set back, but it's not just a little bump in the road.  I have really missed working out and I my body can tell.  I feel sluggish, and just OFF. 

I started working out this past week and I took it slow.  I feel good so this week coming up will be the start of me getting back to my routine and back on track.

I have worked out a few times with Ellen Hinkabine (my personal trainer).  I really like these workouts with her.  She has me working with weights and riding a bike, doing stretches.  Ellen and Mary Zorich both have helped me with my back and I thought it would be painfull.....but since they know what they are doing I didn't hurt.  In fact I feel really good as of today. 

I can tell my eating habits have also been off.  Not bad just off.....and I will be back on course with that starting this week.  I thought Thanksgiving was going to be tough but I made it through with no major problems.  I'm finding out that staying in a POSITVIE state of mind is a BIG KEY to getting through this life change.  So like I said this is jump a little bump in the road.

Tomorrow is a new day and starts me getting back to my routine.....I LOVE saying that....me in a routine that includs working out and eating the right foods.  Well that is all I have for right now.  I will keep you informed and up to date all everything.

Hello all:

Well tomorrow starts week 3.  I have to admit these 3 weeks have gone by pretty quick.  I feel really good and all is going well.  My mind is strong and positive which helps me to feel better and keep going everyday.

I have been learning a lot about what foods to eat and when to eat them.  Writing down my meals in my food journal.  Now this is a little tough at times when your busy with your daily routine.....but it does help to write down what your eating.  I eat when I get hungry.  I stop eating when I'm full.  WOW.....it makes sense.....I eat smart foods....so I'm getting it.  YEAH for me!!!!!

Mary Zorich teaches Pilates, so on Saturday we had a Pilates mat class and it was tough, tougher than I thought it would be.  Monica Adams stopped by and joined us in the class.  It was good to have her in on the class....it made it fun!!!!  But some of the moves I couldn't do.  I got frustrated but I didn't quit I did have a melt down (a big meltdown) after class.  Mary and Monica THANKS for the good words and pick me up after class it meant a lot to me.  I realize that I am going to have these melt downs but its okay that I do.....I am human.  But guess what I didn't go home and stuff myself with food because I HAD A BAD DAY!!!!!   

I have my first workout with Ellen Hinkabine on Tuesday.  I am really excited to get working with her.  Getting to know what we will be doing for workouts.  I'M STILL PUMPED about all of this.......no set backs yet and I don't plan on having any......I am still POSITIVE!!!!!

I'm hear to say I am TAKING BACK MY LIFE and I hope you will join me and start to TAKE BACK YOUR LIFE!!!!!  You can start with The Pilates & Yoga Center of St. Louis and Nutriformance.  They will take care of you...they care.

Hello to all:

Okay as of today it has been 1 week....but a good one.  I was pretty zapped after last week, so I just chilled out over the weekend.  But I told myself thats okay because I had a good week and I wanted to focus on what I had learned.

This morning I met Ellen Hinkebein my personal trainer @ 6:30 am.  Yes I got up at 4:30 am, got ready for work and made it on time.  For those of you who know me that is a COMMITMENT for me to get up that early....which means I'm SERIOUS and DEDICATED to this program.  Ellen and myself clicked which didn't surprise me at all because I have clicked with everyone on THE TEAM.

So my schedule looks like this....tonight Pilates with Mary Zorich and I'm really looking forward to it.  Can you believe it I'm excited to go and workout.....pumped up is more like it!!!!!! 

Tuesday night I will meet with Emily Small my nutritionist that is for this week.  We are still working on a set schedule for our meetings.  But we are still staying in touch.  Now that part is going well.  I went grocery shopping this weekend and paid attention to the foods that I bought.  Planned out my meals that I will be taking with me for my lunch each day when I go to work.  Emily told me to eat within 1 hour of getting up in the morning and I must say what a difference that makes.  She also told me to EAT!!!!

Everyone I feel awesome.  I am keeping a POSITIVE ATTITUDE on my health, mind, and my LIFE.  I am looking forward from here on out and I will not look back.

My sister Karen is having our family Thanksgiving get together and she asked me if there are any special foods I want.  She said I know you may be tempted with some of the foods....so let's figure out some really healthy foods.So with that one statement I know she will soon be on the TNT train!!!!!!  Along with my mom and sister Kathy.  Yes, thats right you heard me!!!!!!!!!!

I have had great support from all of the bloggers, friends, co-workers and I appreciate it and thank you all very much.

MY FAMILY you all have been 100% behind me from the start and I love you guys from the bottom of my heart!!!!

Thanks to all and most of all THANKS DAD.  We miss you!!!!!!!

Hi I'm Tammy!!!!

Okay I am overweight we all can see that.  I am tired of my body hurting just with doing the simple things in life.  Getting out of breath when taking stairs, not having clothes fit anymore, and many more issues.  I LOVE  music and I LOVE to dance and anymore that has become hard for me to do.  So when Monica Adams asked me to particapate in a workout program I said I'M IN!!!!!!!!!!!! 

So that puts here today blogging about my 12 week weight loss and workout program.  I will be working with a team of coaches from the Pilates and Yoga Center of St. Louis. Doug Blass, my life coach and weight loss specialist; Karen Prechtl-owner of the Pilates and Yoga Center; Mary Zorich, certified pilates instructor; Emily Small-Licensed and Registered dietitian and Ellen Hinkabine-certified personal trainer comprise the team.

I am so excited and ready for this change in my life......long overdue change.  So I will keep you all update on what will be going on.

Last night was my first Pilates workout and I feel GREAT!!!!!  I don't hurt maybe a little stiff in some areas.  In one night it was very educational and Mary Zorich is a great coach.

Wednesday I will meet with Doug my Life coach and I'm looking forward to this meeting.  So at this time I am still in the process on getting my schedule worked out so this week will be a little busy but please bear with me till I get it together. 

Let me just say "The TEAM" in just a few short days of meeting them have been AMAZING!!!!  I know that I am in good hands.  Please stayed tuned for more updates and photos.

Hello, I'm the receptionist of KTVI Fox 2. I have been working here now for 10 years and I LOVE MY JOB...I can't wait till Fridays but look forward to Mondays. I love all sports but baseball is my favorite and I am a major Cardinals fan. I have been very blessed with a great family. We are all close and have a lot of fun when we get together. I have 5 nephews, 1 niece, 2 great nephews, one of which is my god child. Well thats all I have for now....take care and talk to you soon!!!!!
