I think that it is awful that the president is relaxing all the rules to make companies a lot of money and allowing drilling in the national parks, increasing pollution from the coal powered plants, and protected species endangerment. This will require a lot for the new congress to vote on bills to stop this when they really need to be working to solve the monetary crisis that was caused by deregulation.

new congress?? where have you been for the last couple of years? There hasn't been that many changes of faces up there on numbskull hill. Queen Pelosi and Ridiculous Ried are still the top of the food chain there. As a matter of fact many of the poor preforming politicians that bear responisiblity for the mess we are in now are still firmly in office. But hey, thats change 65 million guilble people believe in.

If they we could drill in Alaska and anywhere oil might be found in the United States - would that mean gasoline prices would drop below a dollar?

The "new" Congress will be fighting each other. Even though the Democrats will have the majority, almost always, there'll be bickering among themselves.

President elect Obama will have to figure out how to quiet these fools. They all need to focus on the same outcome, a successful economic change that will last more than their term.

I dont understand we pay them to do a job and get nothing. Most employers I know would fire employees for this type of behavior . Have we as americans become to lax in our lives to not keep up with what is going on. I basically think most of congress should be fired.

I couldn't agree with you more Goosey. But just think, america just elected a guy for pres. that hasn't been in charge of anything and never even severed a full term in the senate. But somehow, people believe he has all the answers. I wathced the elction in disbelief of the shallowness of the American mindset. Elected officials are masters of blame but few are masters of change that makes a positive impact to the people. I am not very optomistic that a full democratic leadership will prove beneficial.

I think that it is just awful that someone wrote a blog without any part of one sentence having even the hint of truth.
#1 Name one rule President George Bush has relaxed. Let's make it easier name a rule the President could relax.
#2 If companies were making a lot of money there would be no monetary crisis
#3 I couldn't find any drilling starts close to a park in the US. China has started a well off the coast of Florida however. There are mucho many drilling starts in all parts of the world except in the USA.
#4 Air pollution has been decreased steadily during the Bush administration.
#5 President Bush hasn't changed any rules about endangered species. There was some stuff about polar bears which are not in any way endangered.
#6 Democratics have controlled both houses of congress the last 2 years and are close to veto proof majority in the Senate.
#7 monetary crisis was caused because Democrats reduced capital requirements on GSEs (More not less regulation). The more work that is done by congress on money matters the worse they get. That is a stone fact Jack.
