Miley Cyrus appeared topless in a 'Vanity Fair' photo shoot.

The picture is a bit racy but some argue you can't see anything but her back. Miley says she's now embarrassed by the photo.

"I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed," Cyrus said Sunday in a statement through her publicist. "I never intended for any of this to happen and I apologize to my fans who I care so deeply about."

Its horrible! My 9 yr old daughter loves her, and its a bad example for her young fans. Ive seen other pics of her in panties with her shirt raised...looked like she took herself. My 13 yr old said those were photoshopped, either way the Vanity Fair arent! Billy Ray needs to kick her achy brraky ass!! JMO

Yeah, but nobody made her do it! I mean, did they peal her clothes off and shove her in front of the camera and make her have that pouty look on her face? Kinda doubt it! It's all about the money and fame. She wouldn't be someone I'd want my little girl to idolize!

There would NEVER be a chance in HE!! that I would let my 15 yr. old daughter pose for pictures like this...what were her parents thinking??? This was also wrong for the magazine to even ask that she pose like this...anything to make a buck....

When I first heard of this story I was completely outraged! Now, after seeing the picture, it's not as bad as I was expecting! Yet, still a little too sexy, like she just got done in bed look. (if you ask me, oh you did)lol

I think Vanity Fair and the photographer should be charged for distributing child pornography! (NOTHING LESS) Sure, it doesn't show genitalia but, she's a MINOR in a presumed provocative situation, that just doesn't need to be!

My daughters love her, but I don't like the fact that she posed like that. There is no excuse for it. She and her father had the opportunity to look over the pictures before they were published and if she had any doubts, she would have said.

thats show biz for ya unfortunatly but i still think she is ok and i agree i think the photographer should take some of the heat for this to

and yes i would kick my daughters butt if she did something like that

What was she thinking?

Just the fact she allowed this sort of picture to be taken tells me she has no morals and no pride.

Find your kids a new hero.
Miley aint worth it.

It doesn't matter who took her shirt off - she is only 15 and therefore not of age to consent to this on her own. The magazine, the photographer, and her parents, since they were present, should all be charged with child pornography. If they wanted a bare back picture she could have worn a halter top. The fact that they wrapped her in a sheet proves they were after something more provocative.

I would of thought mom and dad would of had to approve this before it is done and when they seen what type of picture's being taken they would of put a stop to it. Unlike the paparazzi that they have no control over at the time. Now with storie's ike this happening all the time with star's you would think they would know better.
