It looks like the mayor's taking a break from the Fox 2 News cameras.

I never heard the chief mention how we have a mayor who's in love with himself.

I like how Chief Karabas talks like he's a longtime Florissant resident. He's another puppet of our fine mayor Robert G. Lowery, Sr.

Fox 2 News should really be doing a report on the April 8th election of Ward 6 and Ward 8.

The Chief is actually a good guy. Too bad his controlling anal rententive superior makes him do garbage like this.

Notice the segment opens and closes with the famous Robert cake??

Tossed in the Fountain.

Hey that Nature Center is being built with private funds, then why is there money in our city budget for it? I guess that wasn't part of the "sound off".

Speaking of Sound Off, too bad Fox2 turned a deaf ear to Florissant during our Election. Electioneering by Government Officials, Union strong arming and dirty dealing galore. I thought the news was into that kind of stuff?

Fox2 is lucky they are the least crappy news in St. Louis or we'd just not watch news anymore. Personally, I wait til I think the weather is on and tune in quickly.

Isn't your big selling point "Why watch news from New York, when you can watch news from St. Louis about St. Louis?" Well American Idol is from Los Angeles and I don't see anything reporting real news from Florissant.

This was a bunch of crap, just like everything else fox 2 does. This was not news. The news is that Florissant Mayor Robert Lowery is a corrupt liar that needs to be tossed out on his butt. You'll never hear Fox 2 or any other station report on that though.

The chief is a decent guy, but totally not like him to "sound off". I'm positive the mayor put him up to it, and I also wonder how Karabas was threatened if he didnt do it...
Channel 2, all you did is let someone else brag instead of the mayor. This wasnt a sound off, this was an attempt by the mayor just to brag. Did he tell you to show that stupid cake at N florissant and 270 a few times or what?
Here is a real sound off. We have a mayor in Florissant that bullies his way through life. He bullied his way into becoming mayor, and he bullies everyone who does not agree with him. He is a liar, claiming we have enough police staffed. He is a thief, using fulltime employees to campaign and work polls for members of council he personally does not want to loose. He is stealing our money by letting our tax dollars pay for these employees working. This mayor is useless to the city and we want him gone. If you want to, I'll do a "sound off". I'll go on camera and show you pictures of full time employees standing outside of polling places, I can give a strong testimony with at least ten reasons why I think Mayor lowery is a useless piece of garbage that needs to be thrown out of office. You have my email address, contact me if you dare. Oh wait, I forgot the mayor has you wrapped around his finger too.
Keep this junk off the air, its not news.

Wait, doesn't Fox2 stand up for the people of St. Louis County?

I mean, Elliott Davis says right on his Blog Biography he "loves to expose elected officials who waste YOUR money". Well Lowery has wasted MILLIONS of our's. Where's ole Elliott? Seems he don't want none of Florissant's Mayor. He's too busy chasing the Governor of Illinois' plane. Well I hope lots of people in Illinois watch Fox2.

I too enjoyed the framing of our famous Lowery cake. It got almost as much face time as the Shrine!! And the nice tight close up of the "fountain", wow was that in our Spanish Land Grant Park? Or Maybe Sunset Park? NO it's tucked on a corner next to the Auxillary Government building, looking completely out of place.

And the part? WE PAID FOR IT!!!

I'm surprised Fox 2 News didn't show our lovely golf course that loses money every year.

We have a full blown golf course and U-city only wants a driving range. I guess the reason Elliot Davis won't do a report on the Florissant Golf Course is due to the fact the mayor probably gave him a life long membership.

And yes Mr. Davis, "We paid for it!" (and will continue to do so)

Actually the people from Illinois do watch Fox2. I'm one of them. I lived in Florrisant back in the 70's and the difference between now and then are like day and night. When I drive down Lindberg now, I feel like I'm in a world of the shopaholic. Where there use to be a few shops and restaurants is now a mass of them. It reminds me of Las Vegas only in a shopping mode. The community has totally run down and I don't think I would ever move back there. I don't know who your government officals are but I think it's time to get Ma and Pa Kettle back in office and bring Florrisant back to the nice place to live that it use to be. JMO

Well if you watch Fox2 you won't see any news about Florissant that matters. They'll come take the Chief for a spin (so he can spin).

You know those ads where Fox2 says "Fox2 covers my neighborhood"? well notice they don't have any of Florissant? We're the 2nd largest City in St. Louis County.

Our Town is ruled by the Possibly the most corrupt union and stupidest Mayor in America.

But, we have a Nature Lodge! We have a Fountain!!

Our Proudest Florissant Moment was seeing Augie 5 get busted wearing his Florissant Youth t-shirt. WOO HOO!!

It isn't like we haven't called NUMEROUS times to beg them to cover our Election that was a complete sham. Calls, emails and press releases; guess they're too busy covering that big election in Kirkwood. Oh no, they had write in candidates,, big news!!! Wouldn't want to miss any big Meacham Park stories.

The good people of Florissant will never see the truth or controversial issues involving Florissant's current administration. Why? Because John Auble is a long time friend of the mayors.
Anytime mayor Lowery wants to promote the first Wendy's restaurant and boast about how it was re-opened only because of him. When the mayor wanted to publicize the Time capsule, he spent thousands of dollars to do so. Who did he call to give the exclusive story? Fox 2 News.
When it was discovered, he was a hero. But when it was known that the Time Capsule was just a juvenile crypt filled with muddied papers and junk, it never was shown on Fox 2 News.

Wake up KTVI-Fox 2 News! The mayor is using your network as his personal vehicle for his ego.

Report the truth of hwta's going on in Florissant and stop running infomercials for mayor Lowery.

I bet the new city water feature that the mayor had someone in his administration nominate Chief Karabas to do the Sound Off segment. It is getting close to the Valley of Flowers celebration. The mayor is probably trying to keep a low profile in case there's an investigation about the April 8 City Council elections.

wow you all said it very well makes me proud to know that my hubby and i are not the only ones that think like this, i have been waiting for a fence to go from back yard to the bridge that crosses into st. ferdinand park for a year now, do you think i am getting one of course not but i was promised one hhhmmm but we have a fountain lol and we also need our drainage ditch repaired since the knukleheads that put in the new sidewalk/path messed it up, lets see they put the new one on the wrong side lol i emailed the mayor do ya think i heard anything back from him yeah right what a joke. i just hope next election he loses his butt, no more corruption for this town we are fed up with it.

Marley, you wont hear anything back from the mayor....he is too buys eating out at Applebees all the time. I am not lying. Everytime I visit old friends up there we always go to Applebees and low and behold who is there? Lowrey with some uppity police people. I don't know if they are majors or captains or what....but it is pretty pathetic....

This is a fact....Lowery will sick his dogs on anyone who he does not like. Florissant is known for being one of the safest citys in the county.......thats because everything gets swept under the rug, CRRUPT is right. What I would like to know is how the heck he keeps getting voted in as Mayor.....
He also likes Culpepers......not sure about the eating part, but I do know he drinks up there........in the middle of the day!
