Most of us know the hassle of sitting in traffic tieups on the way to and from work. The situation is expected to get worse with the ongoing Highway 40 construction.
FOX 2's J.C. Corcoran of K-Hits 96 has a suggestion for all the bosses reading this.
Office flextime.
Tell us what you think. It's time to Sound Off!

Flex Time is a great idea in any business or office that it large enough to be staffed during normal business hours.
I work for a federal government agency and enjoy this benefit and it's not only helpful when the PSB is backed up, but a great way to get some things done without taking time off from work. I can get in as early as 6am and schedule a doctors appointment for 3 o'clock. Yeah, I know the doc won't see me until 4:30 but you gotta be there when you are scheduled. I can also sleep in a bit when I have a bad night and then stay a later in the day. Essential management personel don't get the benefit but that's why they get paid the big bucks.

I am fortunate enough to work for a company that offered me the option to work from home. Driving from St.Charles County to Clayton cost a fortune in gas; not to mention the headache of driving on 170. This traffic issue will bring more prospective to the benefits, both for the company and the employee, of working from home. Unable to drive because of the thick layer of ice on the road or a sick child can cost the company and the employee time and money. I worked from home with the flu and if I worked at the office I probably would call in sick. Let's just say we are saving the environment or that people are happier knowing that they can continue to be at home with their family, not having to deal with office politics and of course "working in your pj's". I also like to look at it this way...I work to make money in order to support my family, why should I spend money to work for my company (gas, child care, clothes for work etc.), I have saved over $300 a month.
