J.C YOU LIKE TO STIR IT UP DON'T YA?? First off this an't mayberry..We share the road with people with all kinds of concerns,problems,excitment,drama,,The (passing lane) as u called it in a constrution zone is really a courtesy lane for merging traffic and is often used by thru traffic..Back to the mayberry thing we live in a major city pal there are people that look for people like u that like the passing lane that will cut u off just to cause an accident for money the nicer the car the more money they think u have...Now J.C just so u get the facts stright St Louisin's are not the worse drivers in the country..I am a member of the A.T.A American trucking assoc..Atlanta, ga Dallas, tx Washinton D.C Northern, VA.PERIOD..Los Angeles,CA not to mention the whole bay area out there in ca.. Chicago,il..Thats just to name a few of the cities where people drive worse then here..J.C theyve managed to build several bridges accross the mississippi and rebuilt 170 where it conects with 270 without your help...The only thing I HEARD YOU SAY THAT MADE SENCE WAS SLOW DOWN...

Mike from ILL.- Well I can tel you're an Illinois driver cause it seems like none of the people from that state know what a passing lane is for. Its written clearly in the Missouri drivers handbook and is a common rule for the road in most of the country (apparantly not in Illinois). THE PASSING LANE IS FOR PASSING!! IF YOURE NOT PASSING SOMEONE GET OUT OF THE PASSING LANE YOU MORON.
I say right on with what JC said!! He could have gone a little further me thinks, but thats a good start.

I use a motorcycle for transportation ( they are not just a hobby contrary to popular belief) and you all are very dangerous while you are driving!!

There is a new technolgy called blue tooth and if your on the east coast west coast or in il.And your not using one its a $100.00 fine fla. as well..But really thats common sence, But u know what they say theres nothing common about common sence..

I only wish u people that think this city is bad could drive where I drive almost everyday...places like D.C. That whole area from nothern VA to Baltimore is a nigtmare..Boston to worchester nightmare..L.A. to anywhere nightmare..Chicago to joliet or kenosha wi..nightmare...Atlanta to kennesaw ga. nightmare...Dallas to FT Worth tx..nightmare... minniapolis to st paul, mn..nightmare...philly to camden, nj..nightmare..ST louis is easy compared to the afore mentioned areas...So relax don't let J.C rattle u..STlouis drivers are not that bad..

Hey Mike-from-Ill, in a construction zone, if passing isn't allowed then there would be a solid white line or it would be marked with signs. So if there isn't a solid white line or a sign then the far left lane is the passing lane and its role is the same as always, passing. And I spent 35 years driving a truck and then 5 years as a driver trainer so I'm not just spooting crap. Reread the CDL booklet. A courteous lane doesn't exsist, but being courteous does.

OK MEC1..Iknew this was coming I to have driven for 25yrs I also own 10 trucks and my own authority..I drove b4 the CDL thats part of the problem the CDL but thats for another blogg..Back to work zones people that merge in high traffic areas can't if people don't allow them to..if 3 lanes are reduced to 2 lane's often time there is no solid white line at riverview and 270 is a good example..and in a work zone speeds a reduced to 55 mph or lower therefore the left lane and if youve driven as long as u say u have then u know in states like ohio the left lane is used for trucks and why? because they are thru traffic even though theres no solid line what does it say? trucks use left lane only.. not just because it soft but so other vehicles can merge..So MR CDL Thats the rest of the story..AND ITS NOT JUST OHIO THAT DOES THAT THE MAJORITY OF THE EAST COAST HAS LAWS LIKE THAT!!

Mike & PAPILLON , I too have a CDL , Been all dem places done all those things , have been driving for MMMM 35+ years , use to own 3 trucks , sold them , work for a company now (best) and I actually think JC is a has been , and never will be ! If these people think that they have seen traffic , they have never been in a big truck (which they ought to experience as a program to see what can happen while in one) they have never been on the East coast , don't like the west coast but better than the East coast ! Have a nice mothers day ! I am ! LOL !
