I am looking for anyone who knows organizations or companies that will donate for care packages for our troops overseas. I have done lots of research online, and come up with very few answers.

I am also looking to get together with people, that may want to donate anything from phone cards to baby wipes to send overseas. A lot of small things that we take for granted, they dont get. For example, the other day my husbands platoon wrote asking for nothing but Fire and Hot sauce from taco bell! A good way to spice up a MRE!

Any help or information can be helpful and greatly appreciated!

Awesome idea. Make sure to check out what can be sent as Customs vary from country to country as to what can come in. Then you know what can be collected and sent and in what quantities. I sent items ahead of myself for a trip to West Africa, was shocked at what I could have and how much. Finding donations will be difficult in the business world. You might want to consider local donations from Citizens. Close to Christmas so a table in front of a market and local free ads might give ya a boost. Build from there.

Hi Soldiers Wife,
I adopted a soldier through an organization here in St. Louis called something like SoldiersWishList.com. I've since lost the address but I faithfully send my assigned soldier a package every month. He is stationed in Kosovo. We've become very good friends.
Prior to that, a few years ago, I adopted a soldier through a church project and he was stationed in Iraq. There were many restrictions about what could be sent -- no pork products was one in particular that I remember.
Hope this helps! I think it is important to support our troops!

I am 23 years old, and a PROUD ARMY WIFE!!! My husband just returned home from IRAQ, with the 1st Calvary division - but sustained injuries from and IED (roadside bomb). I have two daughters, and one step son. I grew up in Florissant, then later moved to the Troy / Lake St. Louis area. I love to play tennis, scrabble, yahtzee, swim, and play basketball with my husband. I love to shop and sell things on eBay :)
