I really had a 'pet-peeve' yesterday!!!! I was patiently waiting for the World Series champs to stroll down the road yesterday along with the other 500,000 people, and you know what really ticked me off????? I couldn't believe how many people brought thier darn dogs down there! Do you really think that Rufus and Fido are going to have memories about the parade? NO! Do you really think that they have feelings about the cardinals, and that they are jumping up and down waving at the players go bye? I couldn't believe this one lady that wouldn't let a little boy in front of her, she was clearly way taller than he was. But she had a space next to her just for her dog! Yeah its all cutesy when they dress them up, just take a picture and post it on here. Then I had to watch the dog a huge dump in front of everyone! I couldn't believe it. Next time people - turn on your TV and leave the dog at home, not at the parade!

I AGREE WITH THAT MANY PEOPLE DOG COULD GET SOMEONE HURT.IT IS BAD ENOUGHT THERE WAS SO MUCH TRASH (TO BE EXPECTED THO) THEN TO HAVE DOG POOP OR FIDO LIFTING HIS LEG TO PEE ON YOUR LEG.DOGS DON'T BELONG IN A CROWD LIKE THAT.I ALSO THINK THAT THE PEOPLE WITH THE SMALL BABIES TOOK A CHANCE OF THEM GETTING HURT IN A CROWD LIKE THAT.BUT HEARD OF NO ACCIDENTS OR INJURYS SO GUESS IT WAS GOOD.BUT RUINED A GOOD PAIR OF SWEATS FROM FIDO

There are people who only care about themselves. Sad

Do they make a laxative for dogs. Maybe giving fido a treat next time will motivate the owner to keep the dog at home in the future.

What's wrong with you? Dogs care about having fun and probaly alot of the players on the team has a dog. You must have never had a pet to love. Why does it even matter to you anyways. Some people take pride with their pets and have their pets in their memories. How is it going to ruin your memory of the parade. They did nothing to you at all. Just think of the Cardinals winning the World Series and don't worry about someone's pet.

Oh God the world has gone to the dogs. And don't forget about the dog poop, Oh I forgot it gets picked up on non-dog owners shoes and tracked all over. I think this blog has something to do with being considerate as a pet owner, it is not a dog haters blog or pet owner haters. Geez lighten up. I love dogs. Even ate one while serving in Korea, called "yaka-mon-du" or something like that. Mmmmmm, Arf arf LMAO

Sorry Alexandria to toot your horn, but I am a loving pet owner of a 16 YEAR OLD Beagle, Barney. I think they would of had more fun at home with a t-bone! And yes they did do something to me, they took a dump in front of MY spot in the parade, and it stunk. I just think your blog is a selfish guilt of you being one of the people at the parade with thier dog!

I am 23 years old, and a PROUD ARMY WIFE!!! My husband just returned home from IRAQ, with the 1st Calvary division - but sustained injuries from and IED (roadside bomb). I have two daughters, and one step son. I grew up in Florissant, then later moved to the Troy / Lake St. Louis area. I love to play tennis, scrabble, yahtzee, swim, and play basketball with my husband. I love to shop and sell things on eBay :)
