Today President Bush appeared on TV and said some things that could be interpreted as "scolding" Congress on the Economy.

Well, I'll keep this short: Why should anyone in Congress listen to a thing he has to say, anyway? He's the one who got us into this mess.

And Congress is supposed to listen to his ideas now?

I would think the Democrats in Congress, at least, would like to reverse this economic tailspin, but they're not going to do it by following a conservative economic agenda already proven to be a monumental failure.

Like parents yelling at a kid who got caught drinking and the whole time mom and dad are holding a beer in their hands.

I should be President, I can answer questions better that he. He appears to me to be the dumbest President I have ever listened to. Does he have a degree if so was it given to him? I'm sure he didn't earn it.

As the majority you dictate which bills come up and which ones do not. Probably after one and a half years of frustration, it shows. They are working on a bill that will allow the government to subsidize dope for smokers. That may have set him off?

LOL...ole Dubya's at it again. Is he going to be complaining to Congress about a little war in Iraq? Man this dude is lost. His retirement is set though since gas prices are nearing $3.70/gallon - his investments have bulged more than his stupidity level.

So LIBERALS will all this negativity continue working through the democratic primary and convention? I know it is early but watch MCCain and how positive his campaigning will be. I believe this positive attitude will overcome 8 years of Bush Bashing and hatred. It will be a little while to prove what I am saying but wait and see LIBERALS.

Actually, I believe that it's the CONGRESS with the 17% approval rating, although Bush's isn't much better.

Let's see who took over the congress in '06, just who could it have been?

Nobody "took over" congress in '06.

Believe me, if the Democrats had "taken over" Congress, things would be MUCH DIFFERENT now.

Bush would be wearing out veto pens.

Turns out, while Dems took the majority in '06, it wasn't enough of a majority to be meaninful.

Ah, that may change come '08!

As usual Liberals did not listen. The Majority dictates what Bill will or will not be brought forward. That is plenty of power in the RIGHT hands. Things got worse since Dems took control. You have been to busy blaming Bush from hemoroids to hesballah and I do not care about spelling or LIBERAL IDIOTS.

When you go back to school, stay away from "The Socialist School of Brainwashing" Try a different school this time.

Congress has not done anything positive for this country since 06.

Bush has an MBA from Harvard, do you mr-peace sign? even for Liberal-Elitest he is well educated. Most Liberals are morons who can't think for themselves and want these hand full of millionare liberals to think for them, because they just want power and could care less about the average peasant democrat. Idiots, hypocrites and a-holes; describes you m-m and your left-wing minions.

Yeah, come November I believe we'll see what true majority is but things must change.

Legolas: How much did Dubya have to pay for that DIP-loma because he's proven to be pampered like those with athletic scholarships. Let me guess - his was academic...

mutatis - are you a MIT (Meramec-in-Town) student, or do you go to some other bastion of lesser learning?

Right back at you, Legolas - do YOU have an MBA from Harvard?

Doesn't sound like it.

jimbob, that would be the "CONSERVATIVE School of Brainwashing". They tried, but it didn't work with me. They have about a 48% success rate, so I guess some are more easily mis-led than others. And is chickenkiller making fun of SLCC? I wonder if he/she attended one of the local bastions of privileged families with money AND lesser learning?

Anyway, to set the record straight, Congress hasn't done anything good for this country since 2000. Just huge tax breaks for the wealthiest and some peanuts for the rest of us, policy that has been an obvious failure - I guess the money just didn't trickle down enough.

None of the conservative responses have answered the question - why should Congress give a rat's butt about what Dubya says? Has his economic agenda accomplished anything good for this country in seven years?

Just pay attention to find the answer.

Yeah lets let the Democratic-Socialist Party run the nation....run it into the ground! with higher taxes, higher prices and less jobs created because of higher corp taxes. I do have an MBA (not from Harvard), a nice house that I payed for, and savings. I bet Sik and m-m still live in their parents basements.

You extreme left wingers still seem awful sure of yourselves about the upcoming election.....

You might want to observe more closely what's happening!

You have two candidates who are unelectable.
Two tokens....a black and a woman.
Neither stands a chance, even with the nations media stumping for them.

You libs are scraping the bottom of the barrel and you don't stand a chance.....It's not too late to come up with a third candidate who can win!

You are riding the backs of two losers!

Sick of the extreme right wing profiteers commandeering this country putting profits ahead of people. I'm old enough to remember when the government represented the people, not just the wealthiest of the wealthy. But that doesn't mean I don't love my two cute little Fox Terriers and all doggies! But we all need to have some fun every now and then, in the face of a continuing and harrowing threat from the extremists and fanatics to take our freedom and our money as they force their agenda on all of us. We need to take our country back, and we can have fun doing it! Life under Obama will just be more fun - no more hangups about prayer in schools or burning flags, we'll just get on with life! Here's hoping we don't make yet another four year mistake - More of the Same Pain McCain, or Obama, we'll choose, and live with the decision for four more years. I think the choice is clear, don't you?
