If you have a proble with a segment of society or an individual because of their ethnicity or the level of melanin in their skin, then you're racist.

Am I? Nope. Good people and jerks come in all flavours. People's physical bodies are irrelevant; it's their HEART that matters.

Do I see racism around me? Yep. Do people use race AND class to discriminate? Yep. However around these parts, I see more of the LATTER than the former.

Which I find particularly amusing because having true class is the OPPOSITE of looking down on someone because of their financial status. It's shallow, vapid and ignorant.

IF WE WERE RACIST WE WOULD HAVE A UNITED WHITE COLLEGE FUND AND A WHITE HISTORY MONTH..., NO WEEEE ARE NOT RACISTS.

I’ve been told that Saint Louis is more racist than Mississippi and Georgia put together. And listening to these folk here on the blog I’m ashamed but I believe it. They are in denial.

I for one do not consider myself a racist. I was brought up to know a person for who they are not what the color of their skin. I do not like when people cry racism when there is absolutely no reason to. Example-if you are in a store and try to return something and you are denied it and the person then claims it is because of my race, mmm no it is because you don't have your receipt. MMM how does race come into it when the policy is posted everywhere. Yes there are cases of racism and those should be dealt with, but I get irked off when someone plays the race card and there is no reason for it.

Racist attitudes still exsist. I do not know how they still do but they do. I must admit that there have been times when I have had them myself. There have been moments where I thought that is w..... for you. But upon reflection I realized that I was wrong. You can not lump all of one race together. The KKK still exsists, the black panthers still exsist as do the skin heads and black people that would rather do irrational harm to the white race. There will never be an end to these attitudes. We just have to try our best to not have them, or to hide them.

Racism is all over the world not just ST. Louis and I think it will always be here and there is nothing we can do about it.

Fantastic points made by both this blogg&mechany144.I understand myself how it feels to be hated just because of my skin color because around South St.Louis City[Chippewa&Broadway],it's whites who are hated over our skin color instead of the other way around.I understand EXACTLY how blacks like our blogging friend da_opposition feel when THEY'RE on the recieving end!
This is why I've been saying from day 1 is that the ONLY "us v.s. them" should be US,the law-abiding/non-violent people versus THEM,the tiny handful of true worthless,sub-sewage violent criminals!All this idiotic racism's doing is dividing&conquering us for our REAL enemies!!

WELL, ALLOW ME TO PLAY DEVIL'S ADVOCATE HERE. WOULD YOU NOT SAY THAT MOST OF WHATS ON TV ALREADY PROTRAYS MOSTLY WHITE PEOPLE? TRUE THERE IS A BET, UNO, ASN ETC. BUT THOSE CHANNELS EXSIST BECAUSE THERE WAS'NT ANYTHING ON TV THAT GAVE AN ETHNIC PERSON'S POINT OF VIEW.

I should add, that my dad and his parents TRIED to raise me old-fashioned...I remember I was six, seven, or eight and this black kid my age was playing basketball and the ball rolled over into my grandparent's driveway and he asked if I wanted to play, and I went in to ask and they literally shooed him off, and my dad found out and was mad at me for talking to him....I had to add that even though it has nothing to do with St. Louis.
