Psychics can make mistakes, they predict wrong info, produce bad results and even tell lies to gain media attention. Messengers of God is not to be confused with a Psychic. Messengers of God are people or spiritual beings that delivers God truth, unveiling secrets and mystic phenomenal information to whoever He sends them to. God is a spirit that can not lie, therefore the predictions that are produced are always accurate and true.

Me imperfect, I'm Irish for crying out loud,, how could I tell?
Sometimes there are people who argue faith questions from physical evidence. Like 'where is the layer of silt left from the great flood?'
I guess the Bible is supposed to have a table of elements, to show 'intelligent design'.

You know... these days I think I have more respect for the hit and miss psychics out there making a dishonest buck then I do these super scriptural preacher selling end times prohecy interpretations for 29.95 and telling folks in New Orleans that Katrina was a judgement of God... after Katrina happened!

"Uh... hey folks... I'm Reverend Hop-along Mc Gee and God punished your city and made you all homeless because of a Gay Pride parade. Now I meant to tell you ahead of time but my dinner was getting cold."

Do you believe in spiritual warfare? Angles and demons? It's all in the Bible and it wasn't just in Jesus' day. They are still here. Satan is the Prince of this world. Isn't it weird how alot of "psychics" actually know whats going on in your life? They are talking to spirits- or demons if you want to be technical. The spirit world is real. You may not be able to see it, but it's more real than you think. God is a Spirit, if He is real (and He is), you know the rest of His creation (spiritual relm) exists as well.

Stay away from psychics, Your treading on Satans ground there.

Thanks SANO, wasn't sure how you were going to recieve that as it's a bit off topic.

I loved reading Isaiah and Jeremiah as a 12 -13 year old and recall that my grades in school peeked at their highest during that time period in my life. Bullies were disarmed with a word and became body guards warning others that if they messed with me I might say something to them that would keep them up at night.

I was much older before I discovered how wrong I had been to use the word of God as a weapon without having faith as a shield. I think I'm still discovering that.

rightwinger, that is something I've heard to though I'm not convinced it's completely accurate. If folks believe that way then a perceptive child might be seen as evil when God reveals secrets to that child and they share them. I've seen it happen... a sin exposed by a child and a parent looking for an exorcist. Though I do agree that practicing psychics are dangerous ground and that familiar spirits, like guardian angels... know way too much about us.

Right on Rightwinger.
Satan is the prince of the power of the air and he is no dummy.
Praise God, that Christ is our shield and protector, a very present help in time of trouble.

Rightwinger is correct. I believe Spiritual warfare exists today! Many psychics are talking to spirits (demons) and it would be well advised to stay away from this.

The Bible is full of warnings against seeking help/info from those that have a familiar spirit. Those that "talk to the dead..." or those that seem to be "in the know..." but don't always deliver the whole truth of it, leading many down a false path.

Leviticus 20:6 says the Lord will set his face against those that turn after such as have familiar spirits and that He will cut them off.

Leviticus 20:27 says that a man or woman that has a familiar spirit shall be put to death. That the people should stone them and that they would be guilty of their own death.

Just in these two instances above both the psychic and the one seeking the psychic's advice are in the wrong and will reap the reward for their sin. "The wages of sin are death."

1 Chronicles & 1 Samuel speak of King Saul losing the kingdom for two reasons. The first is that he offered a sacrifice that he wasn't authorized to offer. (That's another blog altogether). The second reason was that he sought out a woman with a familiar spirit to conjure up info from the dead.

Its plain that the Bible/God is against psychic readings. God wants us to come to Him for the real truth, not some penny-ante sideshow that we then take as gospel because it might be what we want to hear instead of what we need to hear.

You know... one of the first parts of the bible that I read again and again after the first time I read it in faith was the Sermon on the Mount. After that every other part of the bible began to make more sense. "It is the spirit that gives life, the flesh counts for nothing, the words I have spoken to you are spirit and they are life."(John 6:63 NIV I think...)

Anywhoo... As a Christian I believe that the only words spoken on this ever that can set us free from sin are the words of Jesus Christ. These words shed light on the words of Isaiah, Moses and Paul. But without those words from Moses I have seen a believer in Christ who still dabbles in astrology, tarot cards and the like. Some of these folks lead the kind of lives that would put many practicing Christians to shame.

However exposing sin is a duty of the child of God in Christ when they are sanctioned by the Holy Spirit to do so and are ready accept the possible worldly consequences for it. It seems to me that too many operate on a list of pet peeves that they only think are unctions from the spirit when they are nothing more than pet peeves. Love is a talent buried in a field by those who resent God for reaping and sowing where he does not sow or reap.

OK that was alittle trollish.

All I'm saying is it's best to be careful and highly sensitive about what folks already believe and practice spiritually that works for them.

We know that there is but one God and most all lower spirits eventually end up exposing to their users that they are false gods. I think it is best to shine the light of "Blessed are the poor in spirit" to those who will actually sit and listen to the words of Christ. To many times nowadays I see folks preaching at non-believers from the OT and while I know those words to be valid and from God the "love that lead" me to repentence was contained in the saving words of Christ and a christian not just quoting the first be-attitude but living it.

The young friend of mine who led me to Christ showed me how to be poor in spirit long enough to see that maintaining such an attitude opened up the Kingdom of Heaven to me. (ok less trollish but still long winded)

I'm SANO THE CAT created to help remind children to just SA-NO to crimes and to promote safety for our animals as well. I am also someone trying to live life before life is all gone. Love people, animals and fried chicken, sweet potatoes and trees. But I don't like to eat trees, but with the high cost of things these days, I'm not sure... These trees around here might make a tasty soup.
