So was the overpass collapse onto I-55 last week a fluke or should we expect more?

MODOT says they've checked all 61 such overpasses in the St. Louis area and say only 2 may have a problem.  Do you think about it when you drive down the highway under and overpass?

I always hated going under and over them.Just like a bridge over the water.You never know when one can go.But it is in our everyday life.Most time we don't even pay attention to how many we go under or over.Nor can we tell you were they are exactly off the top of our head.

Hey Roche,

This incident doesn't make anything different in my view. I have a problem with bridges where i close my eyes when crossing (yeah driving too) bridges. I remember once i crossed the Lake Pontchartrain Causeway which is almost 24 miles across. Had to pull over and have someone else finish driving for me. As for driving under the overpass, i just pretend that they are not there. Its almost vacation time and I'm driving. Anyone interested in riding shotgun?

I get creeped out everytime I drive under an over pass. Never know if it'll fall or if someone will throw a brick or something over them.
I REALLY freak out going under a bridge for trains! I can just imagine a train falling over the side, onto my car. I hate those things!
