We toast with a cocktail ...

... same as the first sighting of a firefly in the summer!

I love watching it snow with a fire in the fireplace, a nice drink, soothing music playing and a good book to read. I look forward to snow because it makes everything look so beautiful and there is nothing like the sight when you first go out after a good snowstorm.

We'd bundle up, go outside and build a snowman. I also like to bake chocolate chip cookies on snowy afternoons.

We used to go sledding on a big hill behind Lee Hamilton(?) school, off Elizabeth and Powell(?) in Ferguson. There was also a good hill (a couple good hills actually) in Dellwood Park, you could really get going fast on that one!! I wonder if the kids nowadays are still sledding in the spots we used to go. That would be pretty cool! :)

Hot chocolate, a picture window,a blazing fireplace and my beloved. Let it snow forever if I have those things. That and a full fridge...LOL!

Snow brings back memories of my childhood and of young motherhood when we would make snow ice cream. Mom would make a very large batch and put it in a gallon paper milk carton in the freezer, so that we could have it after the snow had melted.

I've not made it in years . . . perhaps we'll get a very large snow this year and I can try again, if I can remember the mix . . . snow, sugar, evaporated milk, vanilla . . . but what amounts of each. I may have to experiment a bit this winter.

I throw a shovel in the trunk and go try to get stuck.
