Does chicken soup really work?

It's that time of year...the kids go off to school and bring home all sorts of new germs and share them with their parents.
So who's got the first cold and sore throat of the season? (i do)
What home remedies work? Chicken soup? Tea with lemon and honey?

Try taking garlic and zinc. Both are very cheap, and they are easy to come bye in pill form. Garlic is a very weak anti-biotic, and it will keep you from getting a secondary infection as well as boosting your immune system. Zinc gives me a stomach ache in pill form, so I usually take it as Coldeeze. Take a multi-vitamin, wash your hands, and use hand sanitizer. After a really bad cold last Thanksgiving, I used hand sanitizer all of the time and didn't get sick after that. Hope this helps!

Check out my blog, Rocche, I just talked about my cold today.

I got no relief from home remedies or OTC drugs, but my doc fixed me up with some great stuff, albeit at a high cost.

You sounded sick in your live shot tonight... feel better.. don't waste time getting to the doctor!
