Weather
I was born in the wrong area I guess. I LOVE the cold, snowy days of winter. But my hometown here is prone to the hot, humid, hazy days of summer that does not agree with my hair, my body or my temperment.
I sat outside last night in the cold just looking at the snow that will probably melt away today and had to wonder why anyone likes that oppresive heat St Louis has in the summer. Instant sunburns, constant sweat, and dehydration YIPEEE!!!! Let's go to a Cards game and pass out!
What fun is Hot weather? Why do most people hate the cold?

I wonder how many of those 8 children at the school in Alabama could have been saved had there been a place for them to get underground. Instead, they had only classrooms and hallways to go to.
My high school would do those duck and cover drills years ago where we were supposed to cover our heads while lined up in the hallway if there was a tornado nearby. I knew the drills were pointless to me. If there ever was a tornado coming, I already knew I was headed to one of the locker rooms which were below ground. Why the teachers never even offered this as another way to protect us is still beyond me since there was plenty of room for every stundent to be down there in an emergency.
In 1995 a tornado came close to the same school while my sister attended class there. She said all of the kids were in the hallways were scared to death, crying and screaming. Had I have been there I would have said to go to the locker room.
Anyway, my point is if taxpayers pay for these schools, why can't they include an area underground for the saftey of everyone incase of tornatic weather?

So what do you love to eat or hate to even think about? And I don't mean what restaurant has the best or worst food. I'm talking about basic foods.
For me I HATE all seafood, beets, mushrooms, green beans, spinach, and peanuts.
I LOVE almost every kind of cheese, cuts of beef, pasta, and ceaser and Italian salads.

Should the 80 year old lady be charged with this after crashing into the Shiloh school? Should the "celebrity" Brandy also be charged since she crashed her car and killed someone? (She's also being sued for millions).
And why does everyone ask for restrictions on older drivers when younger people can cause just as much damage with their inatentive driving? Haven't you ever seen a 17 year old boy on a cell phone while driving? Why are they not tested every year?
Just a few questions from a tired mind. I need to go to bed.

I signed up for an email from a company I trust today. I waited 30 mins., checking my email often. No luck for the reply. Then I checked the "spam" folder. I still didn't see the email I was waiting for. I waited another 30 mins. then checked both again when I saw the problem.
I now know why I didn't see the email I was waiting for. A. It was sent to my "spam" folder and B. MANY,MANY MANY emails that are considered "spam" were dated January 24, 2038! They trumped any email dated with 2007 like the one I was waiting for.
I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but I just have learned a lesson. Always allow email from a company you trust BEFORE you sign up for their newsletter.

While I used to like Rachel Ray when she was only on ONCE a day, I am starting to get sick and tired of her on tv ALL the time. 5 shows on Food network that some play several times a day, (30 Minuite Meals, Inside Dish, Tasty Travels, $40 a day and Day to Day with Rachel Ray) plus her day time talk show on Fox 2 are enough to drive me crazy.
Yes, I know I can turn the channel but those two are my FAVORITES. So instead I put in the only tape my boy hasn't destroyed when she is on; Blues Clues, Abc's and 123's. Anyone who has listened to "We've just figured out Blue's Clues" to the hundreth power might understand a bit of my frustration.
So my question is, "How much do you like Rachel Ray?"
1. She's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
2. She's the chuck steak when you crave filet mignon.
3. She's "Wonder Bread". It's a wonder she is still on.

Traffic
I have a question reguarding who has the right of way.
There is a 2 lane highway that runs north to south. (Going north leads to town where almost everyone is headed in the morning for work and to get their kids to school). At the outskirt of town, are two stop signs across from each other where both the east and west sides have to wait to turn because of the highway traffic.
My question is who gets to turn first? I'm comming west to east and have to wait for both lanes of traffic before I can turn left onto the highway. But the people on the other side, (traveling east to west), only have to wait for one lane of traffic before turning right. I can't count how many times I have gotten to this stop first and had an oppertunity to turn left only to have the car, or sometimes MANY cars, across from me go ahead and turn right.
I wrote to the Illinois Dept of Transportation and the Secretary of State about this but never got a reply.

I want to send a few dollars to the boy, Mitchell Hults, who saw the white Nissan when Ben was taken. His description of the truck saved Ben and Shawn.
Where can I send a check? Mitchell deservers it.
