Thanks to TV Squad for the latest list of the Best and Worst on TV. Here's a link to the full story from TV Squad. Here's another link to the TV Week article.

What is on your Best and Worst list?

Are you watching more or less television?

I consider Ed Bark as one of the best TV Critics in the country. Ed previously worked for the Dallas Morning News. He now writes for his own blog, The Front Page, and tells it like it is. You can also hear Ed locally on KMOX radio on Monday nights. Ed is currently on the press junket in Los Angeles previewing the new shows for the fall. Check out his updates from Hollywood.

This woman is coming to FOX.

As reported by my hometown newspaper, The Tyler Morning Telegraph, she's model and actress Lauren Jones and she wants to be a news anchor.

The show is called Anchorwoman. It is taking place at a real TV station, KYTX the CBS affiliate in Tyler, Texas. Phil Hurley is the General Manager. When he ran the NBC station in Tyler he gave me my first job in the business. When asked about the program he said, “Anchorwoman” will not have a cast; the other “characters” will be CBS-19 personnel and people in Tyler and East Texas. Ms. Jones will become a CBS-19 employee, and members of the station’s news team appearing on the show will be monetarily compensated.

I've had visitors in the newsroom for an extended period of time, but nothing like this. This would be a huge distraction. I can see how Phil would want the publicity, but at what cost does it place on your staff and credibility in the community?

I'll be watching, will you?

What are you planning to eat with family and friends on Christmas Day? For our family, this first Christmas in St. Louis has provided the opportunity for new traditions. Is there a typical St. Louis Christmas or Holiday meal?

The new television season is underway. For FOX it has been an encouraging start. It's been a while since we've had what I would call serious contenders in the prime time lineup.

So what show will be the first to get cancelled? Has it already happened?

A site i like to check in with to keep up with all the comings and goings on TV is www.tvsquad.com.

Great time this morning along Kirkwood Rd. watching the Greentree Festival Parade. Lots of floats, marching groups, classic cars and plenty of candy for all the children lining the street. I posted some photos from the fun.
