Randi's RedAlert Blog

The Rams said they'd make changes..taking their 0-3 season face to face with the Buffalo Bills this Sunday in the Dome.

The Pride of St. Louis, Trent Green will start in place of the battered Marc Bulger.

I know you can't bench the ENTIRE O-Line..but was this the right choice?   Is HE the one who should sit, or is he just the beginning of a number of players who will  (or should) ride the pine with #10??

One thing you can be sure of, when Trent Green is announced as the starting quarterback on Sunday, Rams Fans in the Dome (however many there may be), will erupt with cheers and applause.

This team, this town needs something to cheer...is this the answer?

it has to be tough, going out there and taking every snap, knowing that the o-line is not gonna protect you and a single hit could end your career or end you up in a wheelchair for the rest of your life.would imagine anyone would have butterflies,i know i would

Ok Randi, please see my blog from the other day, and the one I wrote opening day.

Bulger is not the problem here, yes it's the line protecting him, but c'mon people lets get to the point.

The problem here is Scott Linehan. The players do not respect him, nor do the fans or the media. This has been a poor chemisrtry match since day one. LINEHAN IS NOT WORKING HERE IN ST. LOUIS. HE NEEDS TO GO!!!
CAN NOT ANYBODY SEE THIS!!!

Replacing Bulger with Trent Green is not the solution.

So Let me get this, Bulger is getting buried sack after sack, with a weak offensive line so they bench him & replace him a with a guy like Trent Green who has a history of head injuries & concussions, and could be one tackle away from permanent damage and retirement. GOOD THINKING RAMS!
If they are slaying Bulger, why put in Green who has a history of head injury.

Where do they come up with this logic??

You can put lipstick on a pig, but you still got a pig. Changing QB's won't change any thing. Everyone in the organization should be embarrassed for collecting a paycheck.

Lenehan , the front office and most of the players could care less .

For two years they have shown . No Honor , No Pride and for sure No Loyalty to the fans .

Take heart , we have great High School and Collage football . GO TIGERS !!!!!

Have blogged about Trent Green coming back (in March) and also our still very weak offensive line...this should be interesting to watch and hopefully not painful for all involved. Also would not miss Linehan, should he depart.

maybe bulger is benched because he is not running fast enough from three players that through our offensive line.

Firing Linehan. This sounds familar. Sounds like firing Martz. When is everybody going to quit blaming the coaches and start in on the players. The players quit playing long before Linehan got here. Sitting Bulger is the first step in a very long walk. The second step should be to send Steven Jackson back to a high school football camp. Hey Steve, lower your head and start running people over. Your big butt is not juking anybody out. Maybe you should watch how Marion Barber of the Cowboys runs the football and learn a few things.

medicfire, you bench Bulger, and Steve..... sounds like a one way ticket to an 0-16 season!

Sorry Trent you may have been the answer a few years ago, but the problem here is simple. SCOTT LINEHAN!!!!!!!! He has been awful, and I can bet ya this, Trent did get a bad short end of the stick when he blew his knee in 99, but does anyone seriously think that we would have won the the superbowl in 2002 with Green at quarterback? I don't think so.

With that said, will the rams fan (who actually shows up Sunday) give Trent a good cheer? I'd say chances are that will happen, however if this continues for even just 1 drive, then we'll know the TRUE problem in this, and it isn't green, Bulger, or ANYBODY with the Rams except who.... Scott Linehan and the front office.
now personally I do think Bulger does need a serious wakeup call, and IMO he's playing here nothin but for the money, he got his big contract and set for life, so now he gets to relax... this is the NFL people.

I really do not think Bulger should have to take the fall for the Ram's failed season. This is the management that needs to be looked at. This team shows NO enthusiasm, No drive, No desire to be out there on that field. This is NOT the fault of Bulger..C'mon! This poor guy is beaten up every Sun. No, he has not been playing well anyway. I see failure on defense, AND offense both. Linehan, I question you, and your managements ability to bring this team to the end of somewhat of a respectable season. VERY humiliating for the fans. COACH, you should be next. On another subject, a colleague was saying the team is for sale, and the players feel that environment. I say FIRE the management, and get a NEW program.

I will be at the game on Sunday and on the field during half time. My daughter-in-law submitted my name in a contest. I was selected one of a hundred breast cancer survivors to form a human pink ribbon.

I want to let you know here and now, we will win that game.. cause I said so.. :)

Yes, I believe in miracles. See you at the game! I'll be in the pink jersey.

Thank you, classic! I'm going to have fun regardless of the outcome.

I'm hoping our sports teams pick up steam. We're using to being a winning sports town! After all, the greatest fans live here.

Mr.Scott is putting a band-aid on an open wound. Hope this works, but to be honest watch his reaction to anything that goes on the field..BOOGEDY-HUM..C'mon guys we'll get them next time attitude...If you look at winning coaches, they make their players accountable for their performances. Get in their face, bench the lack luster players...But HEY!!...We still have the Blues!!!Chants..Let's go Blues at the Dome...

Well something else 14arocker I notice about Linehan if Bulger completes a pass, or we have a run for more than 5 yards he seems to get excited & clap his hands with enthusiasm on the sidelines.

These are basic plays completed & Linehan's jumping up & down,

And I agree Linehan with this well we will see what happens next week philosophy. Linehan has had 3 years worth of next weeks, As I have repeated feverishly LINHEAN IS NOT WORKING HERE IN ST. LOUIS. HE NEEDS TO GO!!

You'll get the same results and this will be against the team that hammered the Seahawks.

Trent "I'm hurt" Green won't do much because of his ailments and offensive line. Stop the rush and you'll possibly match Bulgers total TD count for the season.

It'll be a long weekend and after it's said and done, 0-4 is the result.

i sure hope we can pull off a win this sunday but i'm not holding my breath thats for sure! and i really think it's everybody's fault, it seems that there is just a feeling of i dont care in the air, our offensive line isnt doing what it's paid to do, and when they do protect bulger it seems he just flicks the football out there for anyone to catch, there doesnt seem to be anyone in the defensive line that can tackle very well, and i dont see the fire in anyones eyes that says we are going to dominate! i see a lot of lackluster from everyone on the field, where did the magic go?

I agree with classicsportsgrading. The players have no respect for Linehan, he needs to go.
