We have a business expert on the AM show tomorrow talking about how to "successfully" argue with your boss. Do you have any suggestions???

Have you argued with your boss and won? I want stories!! Perhaps we'll feature them on our AM segment Tuesday morning.

Well there was this time when I was in a disagreement with my supervisor and he shoved me.......

i never have a disagreement with my boss i just say ok then if it fails then it is on him.

meaning as per the above after the project fails then it is turned over to me to fix the problem then there is no disagreement at the end.

Only when I can convince him it was his idea to begin with that we do it my way.
However, I have looked on while he destroyed expensive materials doing it his way.
And even let one boss fire me after I quit.

Yes. You have to present your business case for your own point of view logically and without an emotional component.

If you want your job then leave your boss alone. It gets you know where but out the door!

Show me a boss who listens and argues with you and then keeps you or doesn't make your job harder on you after you argue!

You have to agree with your boss or get your own buisness and you be the boss!

I think you can argue with your boss, I would make sure I was 100% right and could back my argument up with facts. Also, I would use tact in dealing with them. Some people like to fly off the handle when arguing with someone and name calling and sometimes fighting begins, which probably would'nt keep you employed very long.

OMG wish my mom would call she a year ago blocked the door to her boss office and told him off big time..If you new my mom you know she does not take anything rotton by anyone..

She was frontend supervisor and sometime Manager..She after 5 years of him giving her more and more to do that she shoud not have been doing..

Finaly got fed up with his Cr ap and told him off..He is well Stan is a coward he is also crazy no kidding he is mentaly ill..

He is mean to everyone including customers hmm mabey that is why sells are so low..

But mom the next day got a new job and is happy with it..She loves kids and she works at a childrens home here..

It a small town so if you ask anyone they will tell you Stan is a jerk and even call him bad words..I yet to find anyone who has anything nice to say about him..

Gee he even treats his own daughters bad..

well my father and an another employee were in the bosses office the other employee was getting chewed out for a four dollar shortage so the other employee got so mad he got up and said" all of the business i bring into this company and you are chewing me out for a lousy four dollars" and then got out of his seat and reached over to hit the boss but my father broke it up. the boss later learned that he was degrading the best sales person and did not do it anymore.

sometimes the boss can do more harm than good like in my job. alot of times people bypass him and come to me to get a project done.
