Wishing everyone a safe, healthy and blessed New Year.
I also thank all the bloggers and bloggettes for a great year of blogs. Many have made me laugh, some made me mad, but always made me aware of how many great people there are here. I may not post or comment often, but I read them everyday. Thank you all for a great year!

My daughter is stationed on this ship. I'm so proud of all the men and women in our armed services, but this just makes my heart swell even more.

I'd like to know how Ameren is at fault for her son climbing the tower. He did it
on a bet, Ameren didn't make him climb it. Once again, where were his parents.
Today's society needs to start taking responsibility for their own actions and stop
blaming everyone else for their own mistakes.

This weekend and the next few days are perfect for stocking up on
shovels, scrapers and ice melt. Winter is just starting and it never hurts to keep these things on hand. Also keep an extra blanket in your vehicle along with hats, gloves, boots and scarves. You never know when you may break down and need them to walk or just stay warm until help comes. Stocking up now means you won't be rushing all over trying to find them when the next storm hits. You can sit back and laugh at all the people who haven't stocked up and are going crazy trying to find them!

I have to wonder every year when they predict the first snow of
the year why do people not buy shovels and such before winter?
Every year the news shows how people stampede to the stores to
buy shovels, ice melt and empty the grocery store shelves. Maybe it's
because I grew up in Wis. but we always had this stuff on hand and I still do now. It's not like we don't have cold, snow and ice every

Before talking about how little behind the wheel driving with
an instructor, take a look at the requirements for Missouri.
No drivers education is required. Only 25 hours of behind the wheel with a parent or guardian is required. I think we should go back to the says where drivers education was a
required class your sophmore year. In that class you had 18 weeks of class and behind the wheel instructions.
