I can't believe some of these dewpoint levels. We are at 50 or so and mid 50's are all the way down into central Mississippi and central Alabama. This just is not normal for this time of year. Most times a cold front come through this time of year we are lucky to drop our dewpoint back into the upper 50's. 60 is considered dry here. Lower and mid 50's and upper 40's, which were seen last evening in places, are just silly. It's like living in Montana.

This has caused the surfaces to dry out considerably. We may have had a lot of rain but warm temps and low dewpoints make deserts.

I agree - this drought has definitely reached a crisis situation. My rain barrel is almost dry.
