Looks like N Madison county and N Bond county are under the gun over the next couple of hours. They seem to be on a warm front now and that is where the heaviest rain is forming within this next complex.

Dewpoint is 47 in Springfieled IL and 72 in Sparta. That is a pretty big contrast.

I'm a waiting for the flash flood warnings to come out. It's not gonna take much rain to cause problems and this area is looking worse by the minute.

Already 1/2 in a few spots in the area mentioned.

There is one storm near Godfrey that just keeps back building and gives an appearance of being about stationary. It's not large but it's really hammering one small area.

Now the storm south of Lambert has dumped 1/2 to about 1 inch in places in STL county.

Now there looks like a pretty strong outflow type development coming south out of Madison and STL county. This could get pretty hairy in the next hour. Little fronts and big fronts playing around here.

There could be a pretty strong line of T-storms developing over N St Clair county shortly. Outflow is heading there.

Someplace in the Metro east is really gonna get clobbered this afternoon. There is all kinds of stuff flying around and everything I see points to some very heavy rain developing around STL and points E

The triple pointer is rotating. I hate being so right. Tornado warning for STL

The focus for heavy rain is shifting to the southern parts of Madison and Bond county now.

Rain has topped 2 inches in a small part of WC Bond county

Also in a very small part of central STL county.

Now a big storm firing up in St Gen county. This thing is moving E and I wouldn't be surprised to see rotation here. He's pretty isolated.

Over 2.5 inches in a small part of Bond county now and still raining hard. Where the heck is the flash flood warning? I know this is a small area but 2.5 in about 1 hour with more to come is bad news!

Not any towns right where the rain is falling but the town of Grant Fork is downstream on the Silver Creek and could see some high water. The area of the origin of this creek is getting the brunt of this rain.

HWY 140 in Bond county could be affected.

Any rural roads that cross that creek should be in trouble.

Meffert RD looks like a place that should be watched.
