The Schankman Cometh

by PaulSchankman

Last Post 267 days, 3 hours Ago

.... gone tomorrow.

Yes, I am sure you are all having a good laugh looking at those of us follically challenged folks showing up in the video vault.  I can never forget those days---NO MATTER HOW HARD I TRY.

Two other items of interest---

What's the Deal is back for May and this Friday night we find the answer to one of St. Louis' greatest mysteries--- why are the TWO parks named Tilles???

Then, for all of you who have ever thought about quitting your stressful job to do what your heart tells you, watch my fox Files Sunday night and meet three St. Louisans who did just that.  How well did it work out for them and could it work for you? Tune in Sunday at nine.

Here's a question--- if you were to quit your job to switch to a line of work you'd rather do... what would you switch to?

And PS: Please keep those What's the Deal suggestions coming!

I would have studied to be a vet OR I really like the work the people do on the TV shows with CSI. The forensic scientists or whatever they call them. Very interesting stuff.

I'm a tax accountant (can be very borrrringggg) to say the least. I'd like to own a needlework shop but have always hesitated because I worry about what it would be like if my hobby became a job. Would the negatives of owning that kind of business bleed over into my love of my hobbies, counted cross-stitch and knitting? I'm kind of afraid to find out.

I'm a firefighter which is so interesting and exciting I can hardly imagine ever quitting.
But if I was to, I would love to be a dealer at a high roller table in vegas and watch those guys toss millions away in hours.

I've been hanging out at Fox 2 since I was a kid, and my mom used to drag me to be in the audience at The Charlotte Peters show. Now they pay me to show up. Amazing. Even more amazing, I've been here now for 23 years. I'll keep you posted on what I'm working on, offer the occassional odd thought, and since I enjoy live theater and dining out (does it show?) when I see something or eat somewhere wonderful I'll tell you about it. My two dogs might offer an occassional comment as well. (that's Luca on the left, and Fanny, the little sassy one.) Let the blogging begin! Luca says "arf."
