Yahoo! Sports NFL Columnist Mike Silver  has reported that  the St. Louis Rams may be on the market for a new owner and a new home. Silver reports that former San Francisco 49ers owner Eddie DeBartolo may be eyeing the Rams with the possibility of moving them to Los Angeles.

However, the Associated Press is reporting that Rams co-owner Chip Rosenbloom is refuting the idea that the team will be sold and moved back to Southern California.

Georgia Frontiere moved the Rams from Los Angeles to St. Louis in 1995.  Frontiere died in January. The team is now owned by her children, Chip Rosenbloom and Lucia Rodriguez.

In a written statement, Rosenbloom says the owners have been approached about a possible sale. But he says he and his sister "have every intention of keeping the Rams in St. Louis."

What do you think about all this?

POB: I hereby submit an offer of $2,500 for the Rams....seek a tax exempt status for the team....and will begin firings ASAP!

NOTE: This is to include TWA Dome...Edward Jones Dome or whoever paid the largest "advertising fee" for it....and to include their practice facility.

Will someone please buy this team and get them out of the city???
The city does not care about this team, they have been here for 13 years, and besides the orignial novelty of having a new football team and the superbowl years with "the greatest show on turf" noone cares about the Rams. The football fans in STL are nowhere near as knowledgable as the Cardinals and Blues faitful, and the Rams organization needs to go. The Dome is also a terrible place to watch a football game. If a new owner comes in and keeps the team here they better get a new stadium, I dont care how new the Dome is, It is the worst place to see a game in the entire NFL. Football is an outdoor sport and needs to stay that way. The Rams should of stayed in Busch as long as the Birds played there and built a new open air stadium where the Dome is. I hate the Rams. Go Away.

Even if they're not sold now, bigger problem is in 2015 when the lease calls for the dome to be one of the "top 8 stadiums in the NFL." It's not now, so it certainly won't be then. Who's gonna pony up for $100 million in renovations or $700 million for a new stadium? My guess is LA county before STL county. Rams better win a Super Bowl fast if they want that bond issue to pass here.

It makes little difference to me who buys them I just don't give a rip. They are paid more then I can ever dream of having in my life time and that is their least paid player.

I heard the brother and sister need to sell for financial reasons but will hold out til the end of the 2008 season.

I also heard they will try hard and that their desire is to keep them in St Louis for their mom's memory. I hope the Rams are not sold....out of st louis that is!

Wether you are a fan or not you ALL should be wanting to keep the rams here. We cant afford to lose the revenue for st louis....we need the football team to stay. Not at all cost obviously but to just wish someone would buy them and take them away is not smart....and not good for st louis....

Let the little stuck-up rich twits sell their team to whoever and move them wherever. I just could not care less.

Just don't ask me for yet even more tax money to pay for their welfare-for-the-rich government program that hands my hard earned tax money to stuck-up rich twits!

I say let them move, sell the Dome, and take the money and refund as much as possible to the taxpayers.

That way, we'll have more money to be taxed when the Cardinals ask for yet another welfare handout in about 5 years.

After all, if you're too incompetent to earn fat profits legitimately, just get it from the taxpayers!

It's how big business has been run, anyway for about, what, seven years now?

Actually, you're right, 4thstooge - it's been about 28 years (since Reagan in 1980) with a brief 8 year break while Clinton was in there!
