Bye bye, Roddy!

I don't normally take joy in the misfortune of others, but I'll make an exception for ol' Blago. I couldn't stand this guy from day one. But he turned out to be a bigger SOB than even I could imagine!
I only hope that President-elect Obama has kept his nose clean in all his dealings with Rod. We don't need to be bogged down by 4 years of scandal. Like I've said before, I didn't vote for Obama. But I wish him well for the sake of our country.
I hope not. But I guess we'll find out very shortly.
If Obama wins, I'd like to encourage conservatives and Republicans to take the high road. We don't need another 4 years of incessant b-tching and whinning like the other guys have been doing for the last 8. Let's give this guy a chance to do things his way. I don't think it will work very well, but if it does, great! If not, we'll have another chance in 4 years.
I understand why so many people are angry with Republicans because of Bush. But putting Obama in office is like cutting off your nose to spite your face. He hasn't introduced a single piece of meaningful legislation in his short career. Yet we are supposed to believe, as president, he will bring sweeping changes to cure all that ills us? Ohhhhh Kayyyyyyy.
But enough with the negativity. Whoever wins, I wish them all the luck. Also, I'd like to say that it's been a pleasure discussing these issues with all you folks in the blogosphere. Although we may disagree on how to get there, I think we all want what's best for our country. That commonality should be what unites us in the end, rather than fighting over petty disagreements and party affiliations.
I'm just curious as to whether the debate Friday night caused anyone to change their mind / vote? To me, it seemed like a lot of the same old same old that we've been hearing for months.

A Fox Business poll:
Who do you think will come out of this economic crisis looking smartest?
Ben Bernanke, the Federal Reserve chairman --2%
Henry Paulson, the Secretary of the Treasury ---3%
Warren Buffett, head of Berkshire Hathaway ------------12%
Bill Gross, PIMCO chief investment officer ---3%
Ron Paul, Texas Congressman -------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------80%
When McCain loses to Obama this November, it will be over the economy. Dr. Paul could have taken Obama to school in an economic debate. Ron Paul is a real maverick, who isn't afraid to take on the Bush administration and the socialist agendas of liberals and neocons.

Is anyone else watching the Independent Convention on CNN? Even if you've picked your candidate, there are some interesting points being made about lobbyists, media bias, etc...
Already Tired of it

Well, the two major parties haven't even had their conventions yet, and I'm already disgusted with the presidential campaign. Ron Paul was the first candidate that I felt enthusiastic about in a long time. However, you'd be hard-pressed to find any media coverage of him whatsoever. Thank goodness for the internet!

In lieu of the media blackout of Ron Paul, I've decided to post a couple links below so that people can find out more about his stand on the issues. If the major networks don't want to do their jobs, we must take it upon ourselves to disseminate all of the information so people can make informed choices.
