Well, I guess that is what a liberal is to conservatives. Liberal is used as a bad word these days.

The media rarely checks facts before they come out with a story. In a competitive market where sensationanlism is the key to higher ratings, the media is not a wholly trustable enitity.

But, how is it liberal?

They are unable to report the news Objectively! Poll after poll indicate that most journalist are 85-90% liberal.

The media isn't liberal, it isn't conservative, it's just senseless. I find it laughable how biased both MSNBC and Fox News is, I really can't tell which is worse anymore, although I'll always consider Fox to be a terrible source for accurate and unbiased information. They really have some idiots on there, see "Fox and Friends". They both should change the tag from "news channel" to "opinion channel", see Keith Oberman - this stuff isn't news any more-so than The Daily Show or The Colbert Report... As a matter of fact, I'd almost say that you can get better information from those two at times!

I'll just say this, if the media really is "liberal", they wouldn't be showing 24/7 coverage of the elections and other "news", and as a result, ignoring the "war" in Iraq/Afghanistan. When is the last time you've heard anything about that? I find it sickening that we've STILL got thousands upon thousands of troops over there, still getting blown up, shot at, and attacked daily, and the "liberal" media couldn't give the time of day over there. Also, if the media is so "liberal", why do they never question or bring up any of the lies, deception, and constitutional-hurdling this administration has served up time and time again over the past 8 years? It's a shame that there's so many sheep in this country that just keep walking up the the trough and sucking this slop up...

Because they go to liberal arts schools?

Media Bias Is Real, Finds UCLA Political Scientist

These are just a few of the surprising findings from a UCLA-led study, which is believed to be the first successful attempt at objectively quantifying bias in a range of media outlets and ranking them accordingly.

"I suspected that many media outlets would tilt to the left because surveys have shown that reporters tend to vote more Democrat than Republican," said Tim Groseclose, a UCLA political scientist and the study's lead author. "But I was surprised at just how pronounced the distinctions are."


"Overall, the major media outlets are quite moderate compared to members of Congress, but even so, there is a quantifiable and significant bias in that nearly all of them lean to the left," said co-author Jeffrey Milyo, University of Missouri economist and public policy scholar.

Reporters are not covering Iraq, because things are going well. Violence is way down, and we are now winning. If things go down hill, you can bet the liberal media will be there to report.

They don't report on the war anymore because there is no sensationalism to be found there, at least not as much. They report what they percieve as "exciting" or "entertaining," and positive change in Iraq is not something they think will captiure peoples' attention.

I am happy to debate the issues with you at anytime. Sorry..but threatening to ban or calling me out is goofy. Do you really think I am afraid of any of those things. Get real! I am here anytime you want to debate the issues.

Go ahead and contact whoever you want! I will continue to speak my mind. I will tell KTVI the same thing, and of course highlight many of the left-wing comments/language as well. I have nothing to hide, and I really do not care!
