. . . And McCain is spinning this as if it is a bad thing, because Obama is a celebrity, because he is the more pragmatic candidate. Oh, and the tickets sold out in 24 hours.

Just admit it John, you couldn't sell out a stadium.

This gives me hope. A stadium that size selling out? That isn't bad for a candidate, I don't care how you spin it. And spin it they will. Spin it they have. I'm sure someone will spin it here.

Lord Obama is a celebrity!! Hey throw in a concert featuring Brooks & Dunn, followed by McCain, and I bet McCain would fill up a stadium as well.

Prediction...Obama takes a 8 point lead by this weekend, then he drops like a rock until election day. Substance beats a facade!

I don't know. . . did you hear his speech? I didn't catch the very beginning, but what I heard and warched was great. Inspiring.

I am looking forward to McCain's speech.

Well, with all of the kool-aid drinkers in town why wouldn't the stadium sell out.

You know, The tickets were FREE.
So it's not a sell out, it's just another liberal giveaway

I heard THE OPRAH bought all the tickets and gave them away.....

So what...the arena was packed. That just means that he wants to reach out to the NORMAL citizens. Granted it is a ploy like everything else politicians do, but you have to admit that what he did is quite spectacular. And if I am not mistaken wasn't there another president. One by the name of Ronald Reagan. Obama as did Reagon apealed to the masses.

M&M,
Is it that difficult to recognize that the stadium would be packed if they had to send in extras? There was no way that stadium would be any other way. Another prop. Another illusion.

As for the message, empty eloquence. He talks as though great change is on the horizon. There's an eight-letter word for that. Do you honestly believe that the entire congressional apparatus would allow the dismantling of their cherished golden calf to take place? The folks in both houses are dug in deeper than an Alabama tick. Sure - they love the rhetoric but start reaching for their respective dinner plates and you'll get stabbed with their silverware.

And that reality stands for either side of the aisle. "Nihil novus sub solis" - nothing new under the sun. They are politicians. They lie for a living. Our problem is we keep wanting to believe them. Accept them for what they are - vote whores, not your saviors.

Why would you think two senators would want to change anything?

Not out of any sense of benevolence. Has to be for personal gain...power maybe. Only an autopsy can tell where the ego was taking them.

His speech didn't inspire me! He promised the world with nothing to back it up.

However the John/Sarah speech inspired me and made me proud to be an American.

Socialism wasn't on the airwaves today.

We will hear that on the 5 oclock news!

You're right. Nothing will change with that attitude.

I know it was a political ploy. So? Did you see it? It was quite a sight. His speech adresses what change was. I liked it. I would like to see it happen. It won't with McCain. The speech wouldn't affect people who would not vote for a deomcrat if there life depended on it.

And, r-m, how would THE OPRAH buy all the tickets and give them away? Are you a total idiot? Dannbetty just said before your little post that the tickets werre FREE. Even for a troll, your just dumb.

Obama gave a great speech!! His rhetoric was empty though. I,I, I and I!! His answer to everything was Socialism. I would like to know what Federal programs he will cut. Let's get real...empty rhetoric!!

M&M,
Dannbetty could have said you were a genius - doesn't mean I'm going to believe him. It seems you have a problem taking people at their word. Seems others should be able to function similarly without criticism.

(No offense Dannbetty.)

As for your ad hominem approach to debate, it is vaguely reminiscent of 6th grade. At no time did I attack you personally in contesting your points. Seems I gave you quarter you don't deserve. Alrighty then...

What? I just believe with a pessimistic attitude nothing will change. I have some faith in Obama. I guess that makes me ignorant.

redmenace, did I attack you personally? I attacked r-m, but I always do that.

I have to admit when I seen him at that 75,000 seat sell out he did not remind me of a rock star he reminded me of a peacock.

Sara Palin made a speech last night that dwarfted the one given by the empty suit rock star. The only criticism Keith Oberman could come up with was that she mispronounced (pundit) and she was sarcastic. LOL.

My only other name that I have created is Dantumis_Tumasit. I am only active on one blogging name at a time. I created Dantumis_Tumasit when this blogging name was gagged, for reasons unclear to me. I was planning to stay on Dantumis_Tumasit, but now the password doesn't work, so I came back here. You should also note, Dantumis_Tumasit is an anagram of Mutatis-Muatndis. Some people figured it out. Anyways, thought I'd clear that up, sense some uninformed people on here seem to have this conspiracy theory that I have created a vast number of screen names in order to better spread my America hating agenda. Sorry, don't have time for that. I barely have time for this.
