I was on my way to work this morning and thought I had to readjust my sight when I saw the sign - $3.59 for Gas on Hampton Avenue near the Berthold. Huh?? It's was $3.69 just the other day at the same station!
Hallejuah! Pass the pump!
Who ever thought we'd be happy for $3.59 gas? I remember when gas was $2.00 and I thought the world was coming to an end, but now...oh I'm going to treat my car -- Regular Unleaded PLUS~~ Yes.. Midgrade~!
My car can take regular unleaded, but the manual suggests premium for the "high performance engine." Well that when out the door when we got to $2.50 a gallon.
Since gas prices have dropped significantly in the last week, I filled 'er up! Like a bandit!
Now, I'm thinking of taking a short trip up the road this weekend to see some friends. That's right, ACTUALLY leaving town again...what a concept, right?
Anybody else taking advantage of the lower prices?
By the way, if you don't know where to find them, just remember, we've got a gas tracker page right "er :
myFOXstl.com Gas Tracker
Hey, I wondering how many bi-statians out there have an opinion about MODOT or IDOT. Which do you think is better? Who works the quickest? Tell me what you think! After all, (like my friend Elliot says) YOU PAID FOR IT!

My son loves to drive the car. He likes to get in and turn the music up loud!
Oh, did I mention, he's only two.
Turn It Up
Don't worry, the car's emergency break is on and we're standing right there...
And his wife...
You know, I’m not opposed to presidential visits – but I am opposed to the traffic problems they cause. AND today is going to be just ‘dandy.’ Both President Bush and Mrs. Bush are coming – at separate times! Well, isn’t St. Louis just the lucky little city!
Traffic is going to be less than pleasurable at some point today! And why does the President come to St. Louis soooo much?
In the last three years, Pres. Bush has been here at LEAST 3 times! At LEAST! That’s three times the headache we already have to deal with on our construction-riddled roads. That’s three times the road closures and lane blockages. Three times the TIME it’s going to take you to get home today and three time the $2 dollar-a-gallon gas you’re going to waist sitting on Highway 40 or 70 while the convoys clear.
So today, we’ve got Mr. Bush AND Mrs. Bush – AT SEPARATE TIMES! Give me the break! We just as well all sit on the side of the highway and twiddle our thumbs until they’re both out of the St. Louis Metropolitan area.
Again, I’m not opposed to them coming, it just creates such a headache! I mean, Bush just as well build a house in St. Louis. He’s been here just as many times as he’s been to Crawford, Texas it seems.
Fill up your tanks people! You might just be sitting for a while! God bless America and the transportation department. Hmm, did they ever pass that highway bill?
