Ok. As a female who is only about 5'4", it's getting harder for me to find pants that are the right length.
I'm stuck between at regular and a petite (depending on the store).. I have some hips on me so sometime the petite doesn't work. Not to mention they're just a "tad" too short.
Then the regulars are just a "tad" to long.
I've also noticed that the brands to do fit me perfectly tend to be from the more expensive stores and boutiques. That means I can't buy in bulk!!

I'm trying to avoid buying clothes then paying for a tailor to fix them. But geez! It's so hard to find the right fit for petite ladies!!!

Do any of you ladies (around my height) have any suggestions? What works for you?

I'm tired of being stuck in the middle!

Help Me!

Vera I would not have a clue as to tell you a solution to your problem but I can feel your frustration..... I wear size 38 / 35 pants plus I am long waisted.... Most manufacturers think that guys with a 38 inch waist are short and fat..... So off the rack I either get pants that I cant pull up or the legs either drag the ground or come above my ankles.... I usually have to go to a big and tall to find the jeans I want or buy loose fitting.....

You purchase the pants you like if they are too long I guess you call Perks and say.. Hey think you can hem these babies for me..lol That is what my daddy and sister does to me. Now I got my neighbor sneaking in on the deal.

HA HA....

I know exactly what you mean!

I am 5'8".....average is to short and tall are to long!

(I would rather they were to long than to short)

Good Luck!

Me too Vera but I have the problem of long leg's and no butt but bony hip's. So if I find the length just right the hip's don't fit. I wore elastic baggy stuff for year's. Still love my jammie pant's too .But going back to work I had to get some jean's and other britches. As no way I am wearing jammie pant's to a prison. The jean's I buy the smallest men so I can get the length and hip. But they really need to make like a 29 1/2 and 30 1/2 so the crotch fit's right. Know what I mean. Dress pant's I find once in awhile in a size 3 But then again I have some that say 6 I got at yard sale. Hummmm!! Just thinking maybe they were tailored.other wise most mine are not custom fit at all. Just never have had the body for that.

Vera, I am 4'11" nothing fits! Hemming the pants aren't the problem for me, I can usually do that myself, my problem is they are usually too long in the seat area and the pants that rest on the hips are the worse.

I'm 5'3 and I have the same problem! The petites are too short and the regulars are too long. Not only that but I'm way overweight so I have to pay more for more material, AND I'm very well endowed so I can't buy suits off the rack. I have to buy separates. It's depressing because I can't afford to look cute. :-(
