Ms Vera, show him the report that tells how often an Escalade is stolen, lol . . . he might choose to go for Mr. Wild's jeep, lol.

Okay, I'm going to get serious here for a bit, even though I think if the kid wants a toy, get him one if you can afford it and you think he deserves it.

What are the toy manufacturers thinking? Kids want a toy Escalade, then when they get older they want the real deal. How likely is it that they will get one? How likely is it that if they do that it will be stolen? How likely is it that it will be stolen during a car jacking?

Escalade is one of the most stolen cars in the US. I'll see if I can locate the list and post a blog when I get back in town on a separate blog. People need to be aware because it affects you both financially and the possibility of injury through car jackings.

I'll post Saturday night or Sunday.

Ever hear you can't always get what you want? I think this should apply here. Just because they say they want it, doesn"t mean you should buy it. They have to learn that when things cost to much they can't get it. Might as well start now.

Ok I have to give my 2 cents..lol, my kids alike most kids want everything, however we let them know that we can't afford half the stuff that they want just when ever they want it. But when it comes to birthday and christmas my husband does buy them one big gift each. So that way they will appreciate it more and be more happy that they got it. So if his birthday is comeing up or wait until christmas maybe you could do it that way. But that is my opinion. Kids always want this or that and some do get it but me I think there always should be alimitation on what the kids get.

Actually Mommy2, it was no joke. I think the toy companies are down right silly to put out such a product. Not that they couldn't put out a motorized auto, but why does it have to carry a name of a auto that is so dangerous to own? My two oldest had motorized three wheelers so I understand a childing wanting such a toy. If Ms. Vera decides that Christian deserves one, good for him.
