After 4 years, the courts have knocked down the fine arising from the famous Super Bowl Wardrobe Malfunction.   Can you imagine the legal fees for that one?  Come on people it's 2008!   It was a BOOGEDY.  Everyone has a couple and everyone has seen them.  And gee, it appeared on screen for maybe 3 seconds.   I missed it......did you?   When are we going to stop being so prudish and get over stuff like this.  It's amazing that Jesse Jackson or Imus can say some pretty offensive stuff and it ends with an apology....but show a BOOGEDY on TV and we get a half-million dollar fine and a 4 year court battle.  The network should have just issued an apology to the 3 people who were offended....they will get over it.

I agree with you. I completely forgot about it and figure it was just a bunch of attorneys who saw an opportunity to make some money. I think I saw the footage, I couldn't really tell what the big deal was. I didn't realize it was still going on 4 years later.

geez, some people will do anything for a buck.

I was watching - I saw it. My jaw dropped. Not that I hadn't seen one before but it was on during prime family-hour TV. Actuall, you couldn't see the BOOGEDY. Janet conveniently had a silver pasty on it...just in case she was going to take that puppy out for a walk later that evening, I guess.

I guess I wasn't watching it that closely, I didn't even see a boob. Maybe I didn't see the whole piece of footage. But to be quite honest with you, I was not looking for her boobs either. Oh well, maybe I was listening to the music. haha

I completely agree with you. I mean, yea, it might have bothered some people but, jeeze, get over it! It's been 4 years! And if they're bothered because of their children seeing it, who cares? They're bound to see it sooner or later.

It was done intentionally.... Miss Jackson is the one who should be fined .... The networks had no control over what a person will do without notice......

why should anyone be fined...it wasnt that bad.... not half as bad or as filthy as Summers eve and blue star ointment comercials that air in the afternoon.

Why are we so worried about children seeing nipples. Isn't that one of the first things you see when you're born?

I don't understand what the big issue is. Men have nipples and are entitled to walk around without a shirt on. Women have nipples and God forbid a little slippage. Such a double standard here. Now if she was showing off what's between her legs without panties on then I could see the uproar, but a BOOGEDY! Come on people! I am sure that every single kid that was plopped in front of the tv that fateful day saw it and is completely scarred for the rest of their life.

I will have to LOOK at the evidence a few more times in order for me to make a final decision.

Call me a liberal. Call me a radical. Or call me just plum crazy. OK, so maybe some of my opinions are off the wall but you gotta laugh people!! Life is too short to take things so seriously.
