Baby You Can Drive My Car...

by MissDaisy from Wentzville

Last Post 43 days, 21 hours Ago

My daughter-in-law nominated me and I was chosen one of hundred breast cancer survivors to form a human pink ribbon during half time at the Rams game on September 28th! My husband and I went to the Edward Jones Dome for dinner and a practice. I met Will Weatherspoon..#51.  What a nice guy!

I will be in the center of the ribbon. How cool is that?

Good for you, Daisy! A very good friend of mine was diagnosed with breast cancer in July. She has a good prognoses, but seeing her go through chemo is difficult.

By the way, you were right, a bald head on a cold pillow feels WONDERFUL! She and I shaved our heads together rather than wait for hers to begin falling out!

You're a great friend and support to your friend, wacky! I don't think the pic is too big!

Chemo sux for sure. I did AC.. what a cocktail that was.. wow. I lost ALL my hair after 2 weeks. I went through treatment during the winter. The bald head on the cold pillow felt great even then. Nice..

My thoughts and prayers are with your friend. May she have the best results during this tough time in her life. *hugs* to people like you that are "the angels" that help us through!

congrat's ms daisy. I am on 6 1/2 year's now. Rah for me too.Still witing for the slide show to load. Gosh my puter seem's like dial up on slide show's and video's sheesh.
Truman went bald with me and stay's that way now. My head wasn't even warm with a sock hat on for the first month.
Cool picture's can't wait to see the ribbon.

Our oldest grand daughter had her long hair cut and sent it to lock's of love and the other two grand daughter's and our daughter hair was short already but they went shorter for me.

Glad you had the chance to do that.

thnx suz...kurkel.. Congrats to you too..jeanette.. you and Truman are beautiful bald together.

I never had the nerve to bare my head in public.. In fact, I only saw my bald reflection once in a TV that was turned off. A friend of my daughter wanted to see me bald so I gave her a look.

I wore a wig most of the time.. in fact, I got so used to it that I trimmed the bangs once.. oops..it doesn't grow back.. lol

Now I wonder how I'll get a pic of the pink ribbon on game day. My husband will be on the field carrying a banner too. Hmmm.. I'll figure something out. :)

I'm sure that you had a wonderful time and you have a very special daughter-in-law to have nominated you for this occasion. Wackymom is fantastic isn't she? I got to meet her at a party in St. Charles.
You hang in there....as well as all of you breast cancer survivors....it's no picnic.
I was diagnosed in July and informed that my breast cancer had returned....after 18 years being cancer-free. Just enjoy every day and try to live life to the fullest....each moment counts. Love and light and blessings to you.

thnx kat!

I'm so sorry lilrascal. It's the dread of all survivors. If you need anything.. let me know. What kind of further treatment(s) are you undergoing? My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I don't like driving and I'm always asking my hubby to chauffeur me around ...he calls me Miss Daisy. Daisies are my favorite flowers, too.
