We stayed at the Riverside.. there's a view from our balcony... we could see the River walk below. We walked it often. We walked to the water taxi. yes, miamiman.. we actually stayed on Las Olas... the shopping district.. There are many al fresco restaurants there. They were dressed with linens ..beautiful. There's the view of the beach.. in the distance...it's ok though because we took the water taxi to the beach.. I loved looking at all the houses we'd buy when we win the lottery... I mean BIG bucks needed to live there. Some of the yachts are more expensive than the houses. There are a few Bank of America pictures. My daughter works for them and each morning when I looked out the window, I could see the building.

There's a few pics with yellow caution tape. That's where a turtle came up on the beach to lay/bury her eggs. This is a protected area.

Seems like I might have brought the rain down with me... but they were basically tropical and brief. We were at the pool one late afternoon... bright and sunny. It started raining from who knows where. A few people got up and ran for cover... I smiled at that because we were wearing swimsuits after all and were there to get wet. A few minutes later the rains quit just as quickly as they started. Sorry, no swimsuit pics. Didn't want to ruin a good day.. lol

There's one pic I call my Corona shot. It's where it looks stormy over the sea yet sunny where I was standing.

I hear it was sunny while I was away. I hope you enjoyed it. Our flight was delayed because of a thunderstorm the day we left..

las olas is a nice part there. i have been there many times. is the fishing pier at lauderdale by the sea repaired yet?

We did use the water taxi, miamiman.. loved it. It got us around..all the way to the beach! I never saw a pier. I love to walk on piers. Ft Myers pier is concrete...I wonder if the one in Port A, Tx is still wood. I need to go back down there.. I miss it!

Ty jeanette..glad to be back. And, I have to make em big so I can see them! lol Very funny mr_wild..heh rosie.. it's Ft Lauderdale, Florida...just a stone's throw from Miami. I was born there..but there was NO vice then. :)

I don't like driving and I'm always asking my hubby to chauffeur me around ...he calls me Miss Daisy. Daisies are my favorite flowers, too.
