And the winner is...
 
WOW.. 97.5 million votes came in!  Incredible.  One David received 56%.. the other David 44%.   So, it wasn't a runaway. 
 
David Cook is singing.. like an American Idol.. now there's David Archuleta.  They don't sound bad as a duet.  (looking to see if Randi is holding up a Have a Good Day sign - no sign of her) Applauding... great song!
 
Guru Pitka (The Love Guru) playing.. Smoke On the Water..  (am I having a flashback or something)  Have fun...relax.. no pressure is his advice.. lol  Now he has a prediction for Mr Seafoam.  The winner's name will be David.. duh.  He flies offstage without his "ride".  Ryan almost has an incident on it.
 
Seal joins our '08 female Idol, Syesha. 
 
Both hopefuls get a Ford Escape Hybrid... nice prize. 
 
Top 6 sing Summer of '69.  The Davids sing We're in Heaven.  Bryan Adams takes the stage and is backed by the top 6 guys.  They all sing.. I Need Somebody.. There's Bo Bice... nice.. (wondering what I'd do on Tues and Weds now?)   :)
 
Disney has an American Idol experience... perfect gig for David A... how appropriate! 
 
David Cook sings with Z Z Top, now.  (he needed to grow his beard a little longer... heh) 
 
Gawd.. Mikalah again.. (sorry)  Sad to see her represent DC.  But, they didn't ask me... (shrug?)
 
That looks like David Cook in his skivvies doing a Guitar Hero commercial.  Can't fast forward so I'm stuck watching all the commercials... pure torture.
 
It's the Jonas Brothers.  They left the girls in the audience speechless..  I thought only the Eurythmics walked on broken glass. 
 
Isn't the Idol search always fun to watch... rofl.. sorry.. someone shoulda told these people they couldn't sing.  Catchy tune.. Renaldo.. I Am Your Brother.  A marching band is trying to drown him out... good idea!  Paula and Randy join in.. now I see why they both wore red.. I almost welcome this commerical..  :)
 
Apologize by One Republic.  This reminds me of how out of touch I am with current music.  David A joins in.  He could do this.  (and I thought he was only Disney bound)  I'd quote Randy here and say he's MOLTEN HOT.  Nice..
 
Season Six Idol, Jordin Sparks sings.. One Step at a Time (I saw Blake Lewis in the audience, too.)
 
Next out is Carrie Underwood.  What a success she's become.  I knew she would win it.  Looks, voice, stage presence = American Idol.  The title hasn't held her back.  And.. she remembers where she got her start.  Refreshing, huh? 
 
lol Now David A is doing the Guitar Hero commercial.  I'm actually amused by the commercials.  Cute..
 
Here are the Top 12 again. The gals sing..  I Gotta Have Faith.. (probably leading up to George Michaels presence... ) Waiting for his appearance..we all know it's coming at this point.. The guys sing.. Father Figure ... Now, they all sing Freedom.. what will George sing.. any minute now.. here he is..singing.. Praying For Time... nice emotion-filled song.  Great song!
 
After the break... a new American Idol.  A tense moment!  I'm tense even..
 
The winner by 12 million votes... is. David Cook, our new American Idol!  He is very emotional now...so am I. 

His family joins him onstage.   He sings his triumphant...Time of My Life ..

I loved them as a duet missdaisy.

See told ya I have been wrong before lol.

This is the first time I seen David C really look relaxed.
But he still need's to comb his hair lol.
I applaud him.
That was a good song also for an Idol.
I still don't like Amanda her voice never changes.

I will miss the show and your blog's missdaisy.

See ya next year if the lord is willing and the creak don't rise.

So who thinks Simon apologized b/c he knew that David cook had won?

what an emotional evening and what a great finish! Both David's will do quite well!

THANKS MISS DAISY for all you have done to make it a fun season with the blogs! I have loved these blogs and will miss them....

Isn't it great we all have different hearing lol.

Tonight was to me the best night I liked him any at all. Isn't that terrible.
The best show ever and I didn't get goosebump's till the last show.
Am I getting old or what???

thnx jeanette and kelly for keeping me company during the blogs.. it was a fun season.. and I agree.. jeanette.. Amanda still grated on my nerves hearing her sing..

I was so glad that Simon apologized to DC because he was too harsh. I hope next season, the judges won't be allowed to comment during the finale.

I enjoyed the season with those who visited my blog. Thank you! It was fun!

Well, well, well....the season has ended, David Cook has won and---- Miss Daisy gets major props for her AWESOME AI blogs!!!!

YAY!!!!! I really became a big Cook fan during his battle for #1. He is a cool cat!

I agree that on the last night of the competition, the judges should only offer words of encouragement to both finalists.

I don't like driving and I'm always asking my hubby to chauffeur me around ...he calls me Miss Daisy. Daisies are my favorite flowers, too.
